When the government first started to crack down on health and safety laws for the construction industry it was a good thing.

For example making sure everbody wears hard hats,that secure scaffolding was in place for workers etc etc.

But know that all the common sense health and safety has been took care of they seem to spend their time coming up with more anal rules day by day.

Anybody that has worked in construction in Britain is more than likely to have a tale of some stupid H+S rule that actually makes there work more diffucult.

So maybe it now time to get disband these guys or at the very least stop them from creating rules just to keep them in a job?.

I mean like Punjabi. Hindi, Urdu, Bengali and Miripuri etc....

Which are the most widely spoken laguages.. and what areas are they originally from and in which areas of the UK do speakers of these individual languages tend to live in?


Also how mutually understandable are they?
I have friends for example who speak Urdu who also understand punjabi etc... Are these languages different or linked together

Alright, so I am a little panicked about the special I saw on History Channel last night "Mega Disasters" about Mr. Rainier erupting. I am almost in the path of the mudslide that would ensue. I want to prepare for this event, should it happen while I live here. I am thinking of items I should purchase that will help me and my girl survive. Here is what I have so far:

Gas Masks / Extra filters
Wet weather gear
Food (MRE's) & Water
Waterproof matches/fire starters
Tent / Poncho's / Tarps
Small inflatable raft

Can you think of anything else that would be usefull?

I drive a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant and I have a radiator leak. A guy said he would fix it but it was going to cost me around $150 bucks. I just don’t have the extra cash right now plus I would be without my car for a day or two. Not good. Are there any sealants or temporary fixes that I can use until maybe the New Year?
