Pray over each room in Jesus name, and cast them out according to HIS authority.

I also prefer to anoint each doorway with anointing oil that has been sanctified for God's work, just as a symbol.

Phillipians 2:10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of heavenly ones, and of earthly ones, and of ones under the earth;

Empty out your liquor cabinet? Oh wait, I see someones already said that.

OK, here's what you do: Dress up like a chicken mix a little alka seltzer with Listerine and use a spray bottle to gently mist the perimeter of each room. Also, sing I'm a little tea pot three times, and then kumba ya twice. Keep repeating until you've done every room.

Then, stand in front of a mirror and repeat fifty times: "I'm pretty and perky and people like me. No mean old spirit is going to be mean to me!"

Good luck!

Dump them down the sink.

Oh. You mean the other kind. Fill the home with Jesus. (They hate that. Absolutely can not stand it.) Music is a good start.

Use salt and water. Clean the whole house with it. While you are cleaning ask them to leave in the name of whoever your God is.

The best way?? The first question OI would ask is: "What kind of "spirits"? If they are bad ones, and making trouble for you, a good Epiphanytide house-blessing is what I always do, as follows:

It is an Eastern custom for the parish Priest to bless the dwellings of his parishioners on the Feast of the Epiphany. In places where the faithful desire such a blessing, the following form, which derives from Eastern sources, may appropriately be used.

The Priest should be vested in surplice and white stole. Standing in the Oratory or chief room of the house, he shall begin the service by saying:

Priest: Peace be to this house.
All: And to all that dwell in it.

(Then shall be said the following Antiphon):

Priest: From the east there came wise men to Bethlehem, to worship the Lord; and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto Him precious gifts: gold as to a mighty King, incense as to the true God, and myrrh to foreshow his burial . Alleluia.

(The Priest then sprinkles the house with Holy Water while the Magificat is said or sung):

Magnificat. St. Luke i. 46

All: My sould doth magnify the Lord * and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
For he hath regarded * the lowliness of his handmaiden.
For behold, from henceforth * all generations shall call me blessed.
For he that is mighty hath magnified me * and holy is his Name.
And his mercy is on them that fear him * throughout all generations.
He hath showed strength with his arm * he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
He hath put down the mighty from their seat * and hath exalted the humble and meek.
He hath filled the hungry with good things * and the rich he hath sent empty away.
He remembering his mercy hath holpen his servant Israel * as he promised to our forefathers, Abraham and his seed, for ever.

Priest: Glory be to the Father, and to the Son * and to the Holy Ghost

All: As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be * world without end. Amen.

(The Antiphon is then repeated by the Priest.)

The Lord’s Prayer is then said by all, silently,
until:

Priest: And lead us not into temptation.
All: But deliver us from evil.
Priest: All they from Sheba shall come.
All: And they shall bring gold and incense.
Priest: O Lord, hear our prayer.
All: And let our cry come unto thee.
Priest: The Lord be with you
All: And with thy spirit.

Priest: Let us pray.

O God, who by the leading of a star didst manifest thy only-begotten Son to the Gentiles ; Mercifully grant that we, who know thee now by faith, may after this life have the fruition of thy glorious Godhead. Through the same Jesus Christ, thy Son, our Lord, who with thee, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, liveth and reigneth God, world without end.

All: Amen.

(Responsory): Priest: Arise, shine, O Jerusalem, for thy light is come : and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee, Jesus Christ, the Son of the Virgin Mary.

Priest: V. The Gentiles shall come to thy light ; and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

All: R. And the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.

Priest: Let us pray.

O Lord God Almighty, + bless this house that there may abide health, purity, victory, strength, humility, goodness, meekness, fulfillment of the Law, and giving of thanks to God the father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost ; and let thy blessing remain on this house and on all who shall dwell here, now and evermore.

All: Amen

Sometimes it works if you seriously tell them they are dead and should go to the light. If the problem persists, I would have to move.
