Like an immersion water heater or an oven element.
If you touch them you just get burnt not electricuted. (Even if you touch an earth).If it is an open curcuit what regulates the current?

What can I do to really surprise my wife, who has just given birth to our 1st born baby, for her birthday?

I really want to surprise my wife for her 30 something birthday, which is round the corner. Not just to celebrate her birthday, but also to apprepriate her hard work in delivering our first born son. I want to present her with a whole day worth of surprises in doses till the final 'surprise gift'. I'm wondering if anyone can furnish me with the day's itinerary and gifts ideas.
