Wasn't he a Hebrew child that had to be abandoned by his mother in the Nile river because of a law in the land to destroy all the first born sons of Hebrew families? He was found by the Pharaoh's daughter.

Definitely not! He was born to a Hebrew woman who kept him with her as long as she could, while the Pharoah decreed that all the sons of the Hebrew slaves should be killed because the slaves were getting too strong and had multiplied . She put him into a basket, got her daughter to watch it so he would be safe, and Pharoah's own daughter found it and ended up raising him as her own son. He was a Hebrew, and she knew that he was. She named him Moses, because she drew him out of the water.

he is said to have had dark skin in islamic sources. Yes, of course he was hebrew, i think we all know that. but in that place and time, there was a lot of intermixing of peoples. what we might think of as "jewish" today is not necessarily what it would have been at that time.
