I am now using Pentax Espio 105SW film camera but, to keep the cost low, I do not expect the same quality of pictures from the digital camera.

A friend of mine has called me and told me that he wants to go into rehab. I now live hundreds of miles away and cannot drive him there. He has now changed his mind because he believes that if he goes into rehab that he'll get out and he'll be in the same situation he was until he found the job he now has. He is currently living with a friend of his who kicked him out the other day but told him to move back with him instead of going to rehab. This is the friend that I believe is paying for everything going up my friend's nose.

My question is this: When you are getting ready to leave rehab, do they have programs where they get you the help you need to find a job and a place to live? I assume they do, but I don't know how it works since I've never been. Also, what does this mean financially if he does go? How much can this cost?
If I can convince him that there is a place to go that can really help him not just be sober but have a life after rehab I think he'd go. (I'm an optimist)

My wife and I are having a baby and we're trying to weigh the pros and cons of working vs. being a stay-at-home mom or dad. Many people have said that staying home is the best thing to do for a kid, but I would like to hear about people's actual experiences growing up. I'm especially interested in hearing from adults who were raised by working parents.

If your parents worked when you were a kid, who watched after you during the day? How did you feel about that? Do you think that it affected how close you are with your parents?

For those of you who don't know what a mantra is, it's like a personal philosophy that you live by.

Mine is:
"I am only one, but I am still one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something. And because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do the something I can do." --- Helen Keller

carry you across the parking lot on all fours so you wouldn't get your shoes dirty? My girlfriend makes me do this every sunday after I take her shopping. Its now becoming one of our weekly rituals.

does it actually exist? think about this, we only "sense" objects, whether through our sense of touch, smell, taste, sight and hearing, which is then translated to the brain to form a picture or shape or sound of an object....so, my question may seem far out there, but are our brains only creating these objects from data that it receives?...and in reality we only perceive and "see" and "feel" etc. these objects in our mind's eye?.. Do objects cease to exist if there is no brain there to sense it?...

My girlfriend and I are travelling to Thailand in December / January. We only have 11 days, and after two days in Bangkok we were planning to head either to Angkor Wat or Chang Mai for ~3 days before heading to a beach (probably Krabi / Railay Bay). Does anyone have any thoughts on Angkor Wat vs. Chang Mai.

Thanks!
