does it actually exist? think about this, we only "sense" objects, whether through our sense of touch, smell, taste, sight and hearing, which is then translated to the brain to form a picture or shape or sound of an object....so, my question may seem far out there, but are our brains only creating these objects from data that it receives?...and in reality we only perceive and "see" and "feel" etc. these objects in our mind's eye?.. Do objects cease to exist if there is no brain there to sense it?...

wow, thats deep, i'm not kidding either. you always here the whole "if a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to hear it did it really fall?" but your question brings it to a whole other level, i like it!

this is agood qustion that makes you realise the subjevtivity of the thing as we realise it
it is very deep weird and unconventional but it poses the true nature of our problems. in deed the brain senses and it has the organs (means to) sense perofmr the first coding process and then by other means to trnsfer the stimulus to the brain where al the process takes place.
in deed it is a matter of frequencies tha prevents us for seeing sounds and hearing light. each organ hadopted to certain frequencies.
we sense opbjects and the whole world accordingly usoing these mechanisms. if these were alternated or ceased to exist the object woudl be still there but we would consider them under a different point of view. as bat see by hearing, dolphins almost do the same/.

the thong under consideration is why know things exsist and why bpther if you do not have any brains or mind to process them. what do you care avbout a rainbow how it was formd and wht colour or shape it is if there is not the brian to precess it to make you understand realise compare and then with the mind and soul to feel and live the expirience.
at the moment we are trying to explain the world as we sense it since it is easier to take advantage of our findings if they are in conjestion and correlated with our senses.
it is usefull though to explore other ways of understanding universe and try to evolve if they offer a better understanding...

That's an oldie but goodie. I vote for objective reality which we experience through our senses. There is too much to reality, and too many new things coming up for it to be all subjective. What about the rock that nobody's ever seen before, or a star nobody's looked at before, where do new things come from? What was it like before humans were around, or before life existed? I have to think it was all the same, just nobody was there to see it.

you mean if a tree falls in the forest?etc
Yes it still exists,Matter effects matter when any inertia creating energy exists, now on what scale you would consider measuring will determine if it does or doesn't.At the minute scale it certainly does(butterfly effect)but if you take it and start from the perceptions of the brain, than you have a problem.A good example was in the 19th century when the Krakatoa Volcano exploded, though most didnt see the eruption the sound was massive and was heard thousands of miles away, another analogy that you can use is the shot heard around the world theory from the start of the revolutionary war,one bullet started the whole thing, thus the world changed around and from it
