Roger Federer is the Greatest Palyer of his era. You can say him all time great in terms of no. of Titles he has won and he may won in future. But declaring him all time great a bit too far to go with him. In my sense Bjorn Borg is alltime great. He won 11 Grand Slams, but his no. of grand slams are not the highest but the unique thing is that 5 grand slams from Grass Court and 6 Grand Slams from Clay Court. Do you think any one can beat this unique combination. I don't think so

Sampras still wheres the crown. I am basing this just on the total number of Grand Slams they have each won. Federer's career is far from over however. I have watched them both play a lot. I think that in their primes it would be the greatest rivalry of all time. I do feel also that Sampras had a few more great players to push him then Federer does. Courier , Agassi, Todd Martin , Rafter and many others always seemed to rise to the occasion. They were a deeper and better group of players. Basically it is Nadal who is the only guy that gives Federer problems. Talent wise, Federer does have an edge I believe. Sampras may have had a better serve and if you had one shot that you would want to be better that would be the one you would want. Federer is smoother off the ground and at net, and moves better the Pete. It is a tough question to answer.

No he is not the greatest of all time. Yes he is the greatest tennis player of his era. He is the most talented player of the decade and most dominant, yes even more so than Pete. He is agile on his feet and has solid strokes. The only thing he lacks is the serve that Pete had although his is adequete. I dont think there ever is going to be an ALL time Great because there will always be some other person who decides another person is better than another and rubbish like that. I love Federer's game and personality, I wish I could play like him but I dont think he is the greatest. Nadal is great too but no matter how much more respect I have for him than for Federer he will never be able to achieve the level of play that Federer has.

As Roger has grown old he has also improved his game a lot especially with his coach Tony Roche . He is with him since 5 years , when FEDEX won his 1st Grand Slam . He is not like Nadal . Federer wins consistantly but Nadal although is gud but looses quiet often . So according to Fed 's game , power , control and patience , he is the greatest of all time . You must see his match against Fernando Gonzalez in Madrid Masters Final . ESPECIALLY the THIRD set .

He is definitly in the top4...Pete Sampras, Rod Laver, Roy Emerson and Federer...Sampras never even made a french open final and he was considered the greatest by many before Federer came along... Here's betting Federer will win more grand slam titles than Pete...and the French!

Roger is a fantastic player. He is a complete player witout any weakness. But he has to win French Open as well before we praise him as Al Time Great. He has the ability though.
