For those of you who don't know what a mantra is, it's like a personal philosophy that you live by.

Mine is:
"I am only one, but I am still one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something. And because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do the something I can do." --- Helen Keller

Personal Mantra

I have several personal mantras, they help me on a daily basis, and form my life and beliefs.

1. The answer to the mystery of Life is - A)Life is what we make of it, B)Life is like an Oreo Cookie, and finally - C)Life is choice -every minute of every day, and our choices not only affect us, but those around us.

2. "Est Sularis Oth Mithas" - My Honor Is My Life (from the Dragonlance book series by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman)

3. God (or the Higher Being, or whatever you happen to believe in) helps those who help themselves.

4. The true source of Evil is....Insanity, since Evil must be insane.

5. Good and Evil cannot exist without each other - without Good, there would be nothing but chaos, and without Evil, there would be nothing but stagnation. Evil is by definition necessary for change and growth, but Good is also necessary for order and structure in life.

6. And finally but most important - "I woke up again this morning?" followed by "Ahhh man - I woke up again......" (getting older and always being in pain except when you're asleep sucks)

decus, fervidus, misericordia- has been my personal motto and life philosophy for over 20 years now. I had it inscribed on the back of a pendant I always wear- always near my heart

I must keep an open mind. I know nothing. Knowledge comes from certainty, certainty comes from belief, belief comes from faith, faith comes from desire, and desire will delude the clearest mind. An ugly probability is far more perfect than a beautiful wish. Empiricism is purity.

People come into your life for reason, season, or lifetime. If someone wants to walk out of your life...let them go.
