The Berlin Wall divided a COUNTRY...and it was to keep people from escaping, not entering illegally! Mexico has called our decision to finally take action against the illegal immigration 'distasteful'. Since when is it distasteful to enforce an age-old and widely known law? In my opinion, it is highly distasteful to defend an illegal action and act truly horrified when asked to abide. First of all, its not like there hasn't ALWAYS been an avenue available to become an American citizen. Second of all, it has been the nature of a soveign country since countries have existed to keep foreigners out...and there are reasons for this. Mexico has immigration laws, yet they fail to respect the American's right to defend their borders? Im tired of hearing how important it is for me to learn spanish when some illegals come over here and work for 20+ years and dont bother to even learn the basics of English. It is an issue of respect to the country and to native Americans.
