they kept showing 'windows cannot access the specified device,paths or file. you may not have the appropriate permissions to access them' ! some i could open wit another way..but some like Avast anti virus, system restore and files in the control panel i can't even open it!! is it virus attack? could it be failure?

Hey why don't you try running a virus scan. If you don't have any virsu software I suggest McAfee. What were you doing when it crashed? If you were downloading, then it could definately be a virus.

Unless you or your parents changed the administrative settings on your computer to restrict access, then yes you've more than likely got a bad virus that has taken control of your computer...
Bootup in safemode (F8) while the computer is starting then run a complete virus scan and remove whatever it comes up with.

if the administration settings haven't changed, IMHO it sounds more like a hard drive failure than a virus. Try virus scan first, if you can get to your disk drive from my computer, right click, go to properties, then tools, then check for errors. If the file system is damaged, sounds like you'll likely need to re-install windows.

might be corrupted... u have to sent for service immediately.......
