I want to scan and print some pictures to give to a family member. But I want them to be of good quality so they can actually see and enjoy the pictures. What kind of scanner do I need? Any brands recommended, or what resolution do I need? I already have a printer, so I just need the scanner.

If anyone can help me find one online, this would be great! Thank you, car enthusiasts! It has a 1.8 DOHC B181A motor... Also, maybe a exploded view of the intake manifold assembly, or an online manual would help! I'm rebuilding the motor. Any help would be awesome!

Ok, there's this guy.. well... at the bginning of the school year... I was standing around waiting for my friend.. then as he walked by.... he said "hi" and waved. Then the next day he was constantly making meaningless convorsation. A couple weeks ago as he was leaving, he told me "bye" and waved. Yesterday, at the Pep Ralley for our last FB game he was constantly staring at me, and when they called his name (hes on the fb team) as he got up he was looking at me w/ the sweetest smile. Does he like me? Or am I extremly love struck?

so i was out with this guy and we were laying down on the couch, it was like 4 or 5 in the morning, and we were just talking. now my stomach had been making little noises for a while because it was late and i was hungry, but all of a sudden during a pause in the conversation my stomach makes this quiet noise that sounded like a fart!!! i was embarassed so i just started talking again. i'm pretty sure the guy heard it but didn't want to say anything. i didn't know what to do!!! i couldn't help the fact that my stomach made that noise!! i didn't want to be like "excuse me" and make him think that i did in fact fart when i didn't, but i also didn't want to be like "that was just my stomach" and make him think i was trying to cover it up.
so did i do the right thing?
whats the best way to handle awkward stomach noises??
did i just ruin my chances with this guy??

friend of mine was a pool referee at fourth annual kirby puckett 8-ball invitational at the mall of america about 10 or 12 years ago,and had an xtra large shirt from the tournament signed by kirby puckett,ozzie smith,cal ripken jr.,rafael palmeiro,eddie murray,paul molitor,dave justice,bobby bonilla, carlos baerga &bob costas(great friend of kirby,even named his son kirby).this shirt was given to me by my friend 5 years ago on a pool league night. really not interested in selling it unless the price was right. any takers ?

Avator's my wife. Love her. she is Hafsa. Lot of people ask.

I'm 31 years old and my wife is 24. We have 4 children with twins. Have been married for 6 yrs.

My wife has 3 sisters and a brother. One of the sisters and brother are married. My other two sister in laws are 17 & 15 yrs and they have been living with us for the past six years.
I treat my two sister in laws as my own daughters and they call me dad and I'm fine with that. My wife's parents died when they were 3 & 5 yrs. They've been living with us for 6 yrs and they have called me dad all this time. My wife's happy about it and says I'm great.

I treat them like my own daughters from my heart and have done everything to them including all expenses. I've bought two houses for them, for their marriage. They say that I am like their own dad and even kiss me, when going out.When I married they were 9 & 11 and from then they have been kissing me. Is it okay for them to kiss me in a FATHER DAUGHTER way and calling me dad?

I asked a similar question elsewhere, but miscategorized it and didn't get much of a response. So here's another attempt:

I'm considering pursuing a career in acting and I'm wondering where would be the best place to test those waters? My short term goal is to audition like mad until I get a paying gig, no matter how large or small, and then use that experience to decide if it's something I want to devote my life to.

The obvious choice is to move to Los Angeles, where more movies, commercials, and TV shows are filmed than anywhere else. But then I consider the competition. It seems pretty much everyone living in LA is actor or wants to be, and most struggle to make ends meet. So, maybe a city where the film industry is less prominent would be better for someone merely giving it a try.

Any advice on this subject would be much appreciated.

Apparently she donated like $6 million to the comunity where the child comes from(Mawali,Africa) and there is a bunch of contreversy regaurding whether or not the father actually and knowingly agreed to said adoption.
My question is:Should people of America work to eradicate the problems of poverty and orphaned children in our own countries before we do so abroad?I would make the comparison that all the anti war people say:That we have to stop "worrying" about other countrie's,when we have so many issue's (drugs,poverty,orphans)on the homefront .Also I agree that the Madona's and Brangelina's of the world should be able to live there live's how they choose.
