A friend and I have been having a 'debate' about why anyone would eat Quorn (who isn't veggie). They are trying to convince me that it makes sense from a health perspective as it is low in fat etc.. But I reckon that eating a low fat meat, or fish makes more sense, and will certainly be a lot tastier. What are people's thoughts? Can you convince me to take the plunge?

I just put our 9-mo old baby down for a nap. He usually falls right asleep, and naps make him feel better & keep him calm the rest of the day. Usually takes 2 naps during the day, one at 10:00 am next at 2:30 pm. However, today he cries in his crib because he doesn't want to nap.

Is it better to give up on the nap & pick him up? Or let him cry some and fall asleep eventually?

I know the nap will make him feel better the rest of the day. But I read in a book that you "should always respond immediately and completely to your baby's crying". I don't want to neglect him into another Dahmer, but then again will some crying and ignoring by me really hurt him? (Plus I need some time to shower, straighten up the house, etc.) I'm very confused, advice is so conflicting.

This is our 1st baby and have had no problems with him, he is a delight.

Which sentimental act do you do that has no purpose, or used to have a purpose but no longer has one?
e.g. tying your left shoelace before your right, driving a certain route, wearing a certain colour etc.
(I don't mean obsessive-compulsive stuff)

And why do you do it? Is it emotionally reinforced, or is it just a habit you've gotten into and never changed?
I'm wondering if there is a concept of emotional memory.

If it is not too much trouble you may need a calendar for this one....

Ok...I started my period on Sept. 30th. It was only 3 days and not "normal" to me. I have had outrageously sore boobs, tender and swollen, that even wake me up at night if i sleep on them. And I have blue veins showing. And a recent development is it seems my nips are getting bigger!
When my stomach is empty (When Im hungry) I am ill, when I eat I am fine......It should be the other way around if it was PMS for me.
Not only that, but I have had very, very, mild cramps and if you look at a calendar, I am nowhere near supposed to start my period. (30 day cycle.)
I sleep up to 10 hours a day and could sleep more....
I took a test 5 days ago....it showed a faint positive within the time limit, but faded out almost immediately. I plan to take another, on Wed. morning....


On a scale of 1- 10 how possible is it that I could be preg. ?

Has anyone else experienced sympt's this early or know someone who has?

with my best mate. She's been with her boyfriend for 18 months and basically he's no good for her! He has a drink and drug habit, doesn't work and only now has somewhere to live because my friend moved out of home and got a flat. He's stolen from her and her family. I have lost count of the times I've seen her in tears over him, but whenever I say anything she immediately jumps to his defence. She barely eats, rarely smiles anymore its affecting her health and her job. The sad thing is without the drink and drugs when he wants to be he can be a nice guy but I can only count twice when I've seen him clean and sober. I've tried talking to him, lent him money, even found him a job (which he never turned up for) to try and make things easier for her, but its almost impossible to help him when he can't even admit he has problems. Last night she cried to me that she's has enough but she can't leave because he needs her. I don't want to give up on my mate but I just don't know what to do

well basically I would like to eventually start my own website company and was looking at either selling make up products, jewellery or items such as: socks/hats/gloves etc. and basically what i want to know is what do you think would be the best to sell! i.e. you as a consumer what would you be most interested in? Ok what happened is that i just started dating a guy...we were alone at my place...he was willing to kiss me..but i told him "not so soon" cz i was not comfortable that time cz just started dating n i wanted to get to know him more....but then ok he started kissing on my cheeks n all...i didnt stop him...but then he slowly started movin towards my lips...i stopped him...but he like started forcing a kiss on my lips!!!...n thankgod i somehow didnot let it happen....but before i realized he was like all over me...n lifting my top n all....i tried to stop him all the time...but he didnt...it was only when he lifted my top up n saw the nipple, did he move back....when he moved back...obviously i kinda had a tear in my eye....seeing that he said"sorry".
What is wrong with this guy?doesnt he now how to respect a girls feelings?
Should i leave him? he says sorry to me now?
Y did he force on me like that?
