Because most people in the main body group feels they have the right to punish a minority group. They have the power and having power means you can bend other people to your will.

Also, some people feel that their lives aren't going the way they want to so they conveniently blame another race or group. Or they use that particular group as a whipping post to hide their own insecurities.

Blacks are punished for existing
Gays are punished for liking same gender
Hispanics are punished for not being white
Asians are feared because there's a good chance that they could give the whites a run for their money.
Woman are punished because the male population believes that it is their right to dominate women.

So that you can speak out against it. If people do not state their disapproval of these questions, then we as a group are allowing or tolerating these actions. There was an ad campaign that ran a few years ago: "If you don't stop racism, who will?" This can be applied to racism, religious intolerance or homophobia.

Well my friend that is what has been taught down through the ages to be wrong .I myself try to never say bad things about anyone .I live in a country where the law requires us to all be equal but this does not stop them .I do treat everyone equally no matter what sex race color religous belief sexual preference.

I answer homophobic questions in the hope that my explanations and insight might help the questioner understand the differences between sexuality, sexual expression, sexual behaviour and sexual pathology.

For example, if an idiot compares being gay to pedophilia, I explain that homosexuality is a form of SEXUALITY and pedophilia is a form of SEXUAL PATHOLOGY.

The way in which I procure sex and express my HOMOSEXUALITY is not determined by my HOMOSEXUALITY. The way in which I communicate my sexual needs is NOT a 'gay' issue, but an "Ashley" issue.

cause that's the kind of people that belong to christian groups it's a lot easier to eliminate than tolerate
