I have read a lot about ancient Egyptian and Rome but not so much about Peru. Was it only Inca or Maya? Did they live in the mountain or in the lowlands and did they exist only in Peru?

Help! My dad just got tickets to the world series tomarrow from a friend, and asked me to go with him! I work 7pm-7am so I'd have to call in to work. I hate calling in sick when I'm not and I'm paranoid I'll get found out! Too late to find someone to cover for me. Someone please tell me something to make me not feel guilty and paranoid!

On a personal note, it would be a very special occasion for me and my dad. He has terminal cancer. We both love baseball, it's always been kind of our special bond. He hasn't been to a world series since '68. (Cardinals vs Detroit!) I really want to go with him.

I used to have one "wart" on the bottom of my foot and one on my little toe. Neither hurt or had the chracteristic black specks, but they seem to be contagious (I now have 2 on my hand and the ones on my foot have healed). I know I should see a dermatologist but I don't have health care and am going through financial trouble.

we used to work together,went out after he quit. things were good 4 a month.then after a serious make out(first kiss for him too) he acts all werid and didn't respond to my calls or messages. now I see him often at work,last time I was cleaning a register,looked over, saw him and I swear he said hi 2 me but I looked down and didn't say anything back cuz I wasn't sure. then tonight he ran in, and came back running out,I was outside pushing carts and while he was running he kept looking across to me,at least 3 times,looked like he was gonna say hi but then just left. what's going on?btw I'm 24,he's 22

I am married with 2 teenagers. I have been suffering from depression for quite some time now. I only started taking medication since I turned 40. My husband just started working again this month. He's been off for the last year since I went back to work full time. We were going to have sell our house to cover expenses. Now I'm working, he's working, I just got benefits, took the kids to the dentist and everything seems to be going ok for a change. Hubby and I aren't fighting as much. On the phone, a friend of mine said to me recently, "You don't sound happy. Why aren't you happy? Seems to me like maybe you should be more thankful for what you have."
I told her that I thank God everyday for what I have. I AM thankful every single day. She insinuated that I'm unappreciative! Her tone of voice sounded just like my mom when I was a kid: what's the matter with YOU? NOT good enough for YOU?
I'm just not the type to jump around. Am I so wrong?

I am 20 years old and have been friends with this guy since he was in second and i was in fourth grade. We have been recently hanging out and I have discovered that I feelings of more than friendship for him. He is also my brother's best friend. I bought this expensive steak for almost $15, but it was too big so I cut it in half (horizontally). Then I marinated it in some dijon and mustard, sliced onions, olive oil, and just a bit of garlic. I had one of them a few days ago (mmmmmm) but I forgot about the second half. So it's been sitting in the fridge for a week now. Two things: (1) I once ate a marinated week-old steak, nothing happened. (2) I've heard that onions help to increase the 'longevity" of food, including meats. True? Should I throw it out? It doesn't look like it's gone bad or doesn't smell.

For the last couple of years I've been having, I guess you could say an emotional affair with a married man. We've never had sex, we've talked about it but haven't actually done the deed. I have strong feelings for this man and I think he does for me as well. I consider him my best friend. Currently he's having some serious martial problems, well his marriage has been bad for a long time. He's found out that his wife is and has been cheating on him for a long time. I'm completely torn at the moment, on one hand I know that I need to just back away and let him figure this on his own, but at the same time I feel like I can't just walk away from him because I know that he needs a friend in his corner. Plus my feelings are making it hard to walk away. I'm driving myself crazy because I want to be with him but I don't want to tinker any more than I already have in his marriage. If he leaves, I want him to do it for his own reasons, not because of me. Any advice would be great.
