It has a lot to do with what the last name is too. You'd want to be sure that the name flows well, and that the initials of his first, middle and last name don't spell out anything weird, or an acronym for something that he'll be made fun of for his 12 years of school.
So lets say his last name is Smith. Caleb Johnathan Smith? He could be even be called CJ..

Aidan. I was going to name my oldest Caleb Aidan, but his dad hated it, so we went with Dakota instead.
