can any1 help me? need idea for my son by tomorrow and then he needs research. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE ANY WEBSITES UNLESS THEY ARE ABOUT ONE OR TWO SPECIFIC PROJECTS. we've looked at hundreds, but none are worthy of experimentation. Please make sure they are experiments and not fun projects-they have to be testable-control group, variable, etc. (Oh yeah i need middle school ideas for my son, and no botanyy please.) thanks

I have to list the following in terms of size with the largest first: endoplasmic reticulum, nucleus, ribosomal sub unit, mitochondrion, nuclear pore.

I am unsure as to where the endoplasmic reticulum falls in the list as this structure appears to take up a large proportion of the cell but I have read that differential centrifugation isolates nuclei first, followed by mitochondrion and then pieces of internal membranes.

Would the following order be correct?

Nucleus, mitochondrion, endoplasmic reticulum, ribosomal sub unit, nuclear pore.

Any help woulld be appreciated - thanks!

I have been married for 12 years and i have a 10 year old daughter. Here's a bit more detail; we've lived together for 5 years; I don't see any of my friends or colleagues outside work because he doesn't have any friends himself. If I do for lunch with someone (even female) and get caught, he goes really funny.
He thinks that going to see my parents is a waste of money. (he doesn't see his parents)
When I'm texting, he walks past and looks over my shoulder.
I go to the gym three times a week. He either comes and has a look if my car is parked in the front, or sits in his car and waits until I come out or walks into the gym to 'see how hard I'm working out'.
If I'm five minutes late from work, he asks why and says 'that's strange'.
He refuses to spend any money one me, every so often he says 'shall we go to lunch' and then I'm having to buy my own.
Etc etc etc. It's beginning to drive me potty but just don't know how to get out of this...

Once upon a time there lived a king. The king had a beautiful daughter, the princess.

But there was a problem. Everything the princess touched would melt. No matter what; metal, wood, stone, anything she touched would melt. Because of this, men were afraid of her. Nobody would dare marry her. The king despaired. What could he do to help his daughter? He consulted his wizards and magicians. One wizard told the king, "If your daughter touches one thing that does not melt in her hands, she will be cured."

The king was overjoyed and came up with a plan.

The next day, he held a competition. Any man that could bring his daughter an object that would not melt would marry her and inherit the king's wealth. Three young princes took up the challenge.

The first prince brought a sword of the finest steel.

But alas, once the princess touched it, it melted. The prince went away sadly.

The second prince brought diamonds.

He thought diamonds are the hardest substance in the world and would not melt. But alas, once the princess touched them, they melted. He too was sent away disappointed.

The third prince approached. He told the princess, "Put your hand in my pocket and feel what is in there."

The princess did as she was told, though she turned red.

She felt something hard.
She held it in her hand.

And it did not melt!!!

The king was overjoyed. Everybody in the kingdom was overjoyed. And the third prince married the princess and they both lived happily ever after.
