Have you read the book yet? Just wondering, because the movie will be out soon. The Order of the Phoenix is a group of wizards all working together to defeat Voldemort. Dumbledore founded it, and Harry's parents used to be members. One of the early chapters gives a lot of information on it; Mad-Eye Moody shows an old picture of some of the members.

During Voldemort's first rise to power in the 1970s, Dumbledore gathered a group of people together to fight against him. They called themselves The Order of the Phoenix. Members represented a wide variety of folk, from wizards to Squibs. This diversity is a true mark of the organization and very much a key philosophy of Dumbledore, standing in direct contrast to the philosophy of exclusiveness found in those like the Malfoys, the Blacks, and by Voldemort himself. The Order fought a pitched battle with Death Eaters in June of 1996. Many members of the Order died in the first Rise to Power in the 1970s. During the second Rise, several members have already been killed.

A bit more details to make the question clearer, perhaps?
Right now, I can tell you (without too many spoilers) that the Order of the Phoenix is an organization of wizards that fights against Voldemort.

It is the group, headed by Albus Dumbledore, to protect Harry Potter and the world community (both wizard and muggle) and to fight Voldemort, the Evil wizard.

It's a group of people who secretly oppose the Dark Lord. Have you read the book? That would probably help.

If you would read the book you would find out...
Sounds like a school assignment, (which I will not help you with).
