I am a chemist and a part -time philosopher and have derived a theory.....my thesis is "life is fair, in that it is not fair"....check out what I am about to type........people always complain about how they get screwed in life even when the are trying to be model citizens, whether they get screwed financially, emotionally, physically, or what have you. But, since life is not fair, people have the tendancy to achieve a state that does not exist, it is in our nature. For example, if life was fair, the human race would not have the inspiration, motivation, willingness, or the capacity to live with fairness because it is a current state in which people live in and DO NOT have to make an effort to strive to KEEP society fair. Therefore, life would become unfair, deathly, unlivable, and lastly mundane. And the conclusion lies in the statement....."we must work towards an effort to achieve a state of fairness in order to make it fair, once we fail orlose perception of this goal fairness is..

I feel supremely ugly under flourescent lighting... i think i'm disgusting and horrid.

How do you tell the difference between M. mycoides and M. subtilis? Both are gram positive spore formers, and I've already done extensive testing on this unknown bacteria (it's half my grade in my microbiology class if I don't get this unknown identified corretly). I've already done a urease test, hemolysis reaction, TSI slant and butt reactions, a starch hydrolysis, sugar fermentation, a lipase test, methyl red, gelatinase, ect... but some of my tests have come back either inconclusive or I'm getting results opposite of what I should be getting. According to my data, I have it narrowed down to these two. What is a test I can use to tell a definitive difference? Maybe something that shows a difference on colony appearance on certain types of agar? Or can someone direct me to a website with more information on the description of both of these bacteria?

For more than a year there's been this one girl who I can't stop thinking about, over the summer she started to see how I feel about her and this year has been more flirty with me than usual. My friends say she totally digs me and my heart says so too but I'm worried that she might say no and ruin our friendship if I asked her out. Homecoming is tonight and I'm contemplating asking her to dance but I have a problem with backing down because of my shyness when it comes to asking girls out. At all other times I'm fine.
