I am really really really REALLY scared of snakes. Ever since I was young I was afraid to even look at them in books/pictures. If I see a snake show I get night mares. One time the family next door said they saw a snake in the backyard. My mom told me they were probably kidding, but all night I couldn't sleep thinking that maybe it is inside my house. I even started crying!! When ever we go to animal stores I CANT go into the reptile section even if they are in cages. When my friends mess around and say that they are going to buy me a snake I get really scared and end up not talking to them.I am going crazy?!!?!

I tried to come up close with a snake and touched it and I almost fainted.

What should i do? Anyone else have this?

The only lyrics I can remember is something like: "dreamer, you know you are a dreamer, silly little dreamer..... " Like I said, I believe it's from the 80s, but I'm not sure, it could be the 70s too.... But any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Ok, in a couple of weeks, I"m having my Sweet 16 party. I am having it at a park, and I need some ideas for games. No kissing games or anything like that, but some fun games to play with a group of 50-60 people. Can you help? Oh yeah, it's a co-ed party. And also, I'm having about 10 girls to spend the night, and if you know any good games for a sleepover, I could use some of those, too.

Sweeties day is observed tomorrow. I'm a high school student and have a girlfriend that means a lot to me. I wanted to get her something, only problem is that neither of our parents are going out and i can't really do anything that would make them suspicous (get her flowers, chocolate, etc).

Anyone know any ways i could still make the day special without hinting anything to parentals?

I am still partial to just listening to cds when I go to the gym or are in the car, but the new Nanos are pretty slick looking so it's tempting me. On the other hand, the video capability of the regular iPods is something I think I'd like as well. Unfortunately, I heard there are numerous problems with the hard drives on the video Ipods while there's battery problems with the nanos? I don't want to buy something if I will have problems with it in a year or less, if I buy one of these things I want it to last for years and years. Are these things not that durable? Also, if I go the video iPod route, isn't there a new generation coming out the first of 2007? So many questions I know, but I'd appreciate help from anyone knowledgeable about the ipods.

I'm a college student and I just need it for christmas break. I can't go home for the winter break and I just need someplace to stay for until school starts back.
I can't go home cuz my mom is a drug dealer and my aunt supports her, my home isnt a positive enviroment. Other family members always express how much of an inconvience it'll be to have people stay over so I dont wanna ask them.
I just need some ideas on where to look for temporary housing for 1 or 2 month?

so there's this guy at my school who sits with me and my friends in the morning and we torture him(my friends have this thing with him where when they tell him to "sit" he has to bang his head on the table...believe me i dont get it either)...well recently i've been sticking up for him. his older brother has a GF and i feel sorry for him that he doesnt have one. at tonight's football game i admited to him that i like him and he likes me!!

My sister has a rule that all toys must be kept in the bedrooms and no matter what we do we cannot get my 3 year old niece to play in her room. She keeps saying she is scared of the cow in there. Ok there is no cow and when you tell her that then she changes her story and comes up with something else that she is scared of. She will go in her room by herself to get things or change clothes and doesn't have any problems taking naps or going to bed in her room. Why would she be afraid to play in there if nothing else about it seems to bother her. We've tried going in and playing with her and even that will only last for a few minutes. She has lots of toys that she loves to play with-just not in her room. Occasionally when the weather in nice she can select a few toys to take outside and play with and she gets to take some of her favorites when she goes to grandma's house so it's not that she doesn't like her toys she just won't play in her room. Any suggestions why?

My daughter will celebrate her first birthday on Thanksgiving day this year. Her cousin was born 4 years ago, on Thanksgiving that year... we arent close with that cousin or her parents, but my mother-in-law has said many times how 'great it will be that they will be able to share their birthday together every year'.

Should we be forced to share birthdays? I understand that it's great that family will be together and it logistically makes sense, but I think that birthday celebrations are special and shouldnt be shared.

Any ideas or suggestions are most appreciated! : ) Thanks!
