Did the doctor tell you that you would be in pain, or that you wouldn't be in pain? Did s/he prescribed pain medication?
If you are concerned, you should call your doctor.

It is going to hurt for a while as the nerves that were damaged are trying to repair themselves. I think the best thing to do is ask the doctor for medication that will ease the pain. Either request a prescription or ask your doctor what over the counter medication you can take. If you leg isn't in a cast I'd suggest warm water bottles applied to the area hurting. Make sure to use a towel in between your leg and the water bottle so you don't burn yourself.
Hope you heal quickly!

keep your leg elevated above your heart, and yes, it will hurt for a little while, take pain meds, over the counter, or other whatever, and your leg has had a shock, so of course for a little while, it will hurt, but if your nerves where damaged, you wouldn't be able to feel anything, let alone pain.... so if you are really concerned, ask your dr.

Let your body heal... take Motrin if you have to..... you'll go through some different stages but once it starts healing, a lot of the pain will stop.
