I've had several MRI's done over the last few years for what I thought was a back injury, only the back injury is getting worse and the systoms seem to be getting more widespread. The doc. of course believes that I'm just deperessed. Well he's right I am somewhat depressed sometimes and overley happy and optimistic at other times. So I've been playing a tantalizing game of online medical connect the dots, it gets lonley when you play alone, so any feed back is totality appreciated!

NEWS BRIEF: "Bush Signs Terror Interrogation Law", AP Breaking News, October 17, 2006

"WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush signed legislation Tuesday authorizing tough interrogation of terror suspects and smoothing the way for trials before military commissions, calling it a 'vital tool' in the war against terrorism ... With the bill I'm about to sign, the men our intelligence officials believe orchestrated the murder of nearly 3,000 innocent people will face justice," Bush said. A coalition of religious groups staged a protest against the bill outside the White House, shouting "Bush is the terrorist" and "Torture is a crime." About 15 of the protesters, standing in a light rain, refused orders to move. Police arrested them one by one."

When I watched this on Sunday I was astounded by how unbelievably, criminally awful it was.

The costumes were rubbish. People were wearing badly-disguised trainers, for gods' sake. Most of the armour worn by the Normans wasn't proper chain mail or even the lighter string mail sometimes used by actors, it was some sort of cheapie moulded plastic stuff.

I think they were trying to make the dialogue a bit post-modern and cool - sort of like the Casanova dramatisation. The difference was, Casanova was actually good - the dialogue and the authentic backdrop contrasted well with each other.

But in Robin Hood, because the kit they are wearing is absolutely rubbish, the postmodern dialogue reinforces the impression of a program made by people who don't know their historical ar$e from their elbow.

The old 80's HTV Robin of Sherwood series with Michael Praed wasn't perfect but it was better than this pretentious, low-budget pile of tripe!
