Yes, it can be done, as one can put almost any engine in anything, if you have the patience, and It will fit between the fenders. There would be many issues to overcome, and it could turn out to be quite expensive even if you did all the work yourself. You would have to make your own mounts, have an adapter plate made for the transmission to bolt to the engine, and if it's an automatic there would be even more issues getting the combination to work out. If you did it engine and transmission it might be easier. Frankly; it would not be worth the effort, and the obstacles you would have to overcome to make it work, but yes it can be done. I don't think this would be a job that I would want to tackle, and I have many years experience, and the equipment to do it with. My advice would be to not attempt to do it, and just buy something else to drive. The cost of doing this job would run into thousands of dollars to make it work, when you consider all the special parts that would have to be machined, and the electrical change over would involve rewiring the truck to make it work. My question is why? Good Luck!!!

In a couple of years the truck will celebrate it's 20 year birthday. Don't you think a new truck in the drive way would be nice. Or go ahead spend the down payment on the 18 year old truck. And you know just as soon it is back running the transmission will quit or the rear axle will fail. Things to consider wiring harness 3.4 litter is different and ECM is different exhaust is different. Bigger Radatior. Just think how good you will look in a new truck.

The octane score is the gas's capacity to withstand pre-ignition. gas with a score of 87 octane resists ignition (on worry-unfastened) 87% besides as organic octane. there is amazingly little octane in gas. that's considerable whilst it is composed of the compression ratio of your engine, or how plenty carbon is equipped up interior the engine. severe (greater suitable than 9.0:a million based who you confer with) compression of gas makes it greater risky so it must be mandatory to have a severe octane score. Carbon deposits warmth up swifter than steel and ought to ignite the gas in the past the ignition gadget has a raffle to do its interest. You automobile is designed to make amends for pre-ignition so which you will smash out with decrease octane score maximum cases (on the fee of a few capability loss), yet once you spot a "knocking" sound once you improve up or loud ping it can be a physically powerful concept to apply a gas with a greater effectual octane score to work out if it treatments the priority. while you're having a "knock" concern your verify engine easy will probable come on with a code telling the technician which you're knocking, yet this could in basic terms ensue whilst the knock is consistent and "extreme" adequate to reason instantaneous harm to your automobile. undergo in innovations that a small knock over an prolonged time will harm your engine so be optimistic interior the alternative you're making. the different concern with some engine knock is it forces your ignition gadget to artwork greater stable because of the fact your gas won't burn thoroughly and your O2 sensor will rigidity your ignition to apply a much better spark wearing each little thing out and the unburnt gas will clog your Catalytic converter and rob you of a few severe capability in the past your automobile stops for an extremely high priced restoration. i'm an organization believer in a minimum of ninety one octane for the long term answer yet once you intend to have the automobile for under a 300 and sixty 5 days do not worry except it sounds like it quite is going to be broken or in the experience that your instruction manual says to apply a minimum of 89 or ninety one octane. have exciting with you Toyota
