Depends on how you choose to live your life.
Some can claim that both are important, and depend on each other for balance, and others will claim that they are opposites, and should not be mixed.
I believe that politics should support the idea of freedom of religion, and politics should defend the right to worship in that religion so long as the religion does not interfere with someone Else's rights.

politics it governs the way society exists adapting to changes while religon is only a set of guidlines

your faith and the strength of your faith rules your politics no mater how you try to separate the two your views of right and wrong are based on something even if it's bases on your self and faith in your self and that governs your political views and practices
