OK I know this is old news now, but in the UK they are proposing a change in laws which would mean that girls who were too drunk could not give "meaningful consent", and a man can face a rape conviction if he can't prove she gave sober consent.

I understand they need to be able to make more convictions but this is very dodgy in my opinion, we could be convicting men who just thought they got pissed and had a one night stand. People fall into bed when they're hammered- the line between that and rape will be very blurred if they go ahead with this, when I think right now any reasonable person can tell the difference.

What does everyone else think? Does anyone support this proposal, and why? What would you suggest men do to avoid a rape charge after a date where they shared a couple bottles of wine, or after the booze-fuelled office Christmas party?

My son goes to school, kinda like a head-start program. He goes for 3 hours in the morning. He hasn't biten any kids it's only the teachers. He's usually not like this at all. He does try to bite us at home when he gets frustraited or upset or even when he's just overly happy. They said he doesn't bite all the time just sometimes, so they know he's not always like that. I just get worried that they won't like him & they might start treating him badly. What kinda of actions can I take to get him to stop?

My father-in-law was hurt at work. He got a chemical burn on his face and it caused a reaction that looks something like Lupus of the skin. His body rejects his skin. He will never work again, though he has had hope since the incident happened 3 yrs ago. What is he entitled to? He has a workman's comp lawyer right now because they were giving him hell about paying for his medications. They pay for his medical bills most of the time and he gets $300 a month. The doctors that workman's comp keep sending him to are telling him that he is entitled to a large lump sum of money and that he will never work again, but of coarse WC throws out that doc's advice and sends him to another. Should he find another lawyer? File for disability? or unemployment? Thanks

Have you ever had problems with your heart racing/adding a beat while on "Synthroid" and did adjusting the dosage amount help? I've had a Cardiologist check me for any heart problems last year and they say everything is normal also my blood pressure is always "normal", but I've just started having extra heart beats (seems to be stronger after taking my Synthroid)... When I called my Thyroid doctors office, they just tell me to go to my Cardiologist. Why won't they just send me to get my blood drawn for my TSH level, which I'm strongly thinking it is. I'm sick of being sent from doctor to doctor and learning nothing new and paying out all this $$$. Why do doctors think we are made out of money?

Is there any Thyroid support groups that you know of?

At the moment she lives with her mom & moms boyfriend approx 15mins walking distance from us & my husband sees her at twice per week.
She doesn’t get on with her moms boyfriend and seemingly her mum favours him over her. Consequently my stepdaughter feels unloved by her mother and wants 2be with us.
Her mom has 2 other children &as my stepdaughter is the eldest child she seems to treat her more like and adult rather than the 11 year old she should be!

why fight each other, i has no meaning to fight , whenever i see a fight , i see a i fear for the loseing person because it is wrong , and espically a girl fight . Hi everyone. When i was 18 I messed my credit up bad(should have listened to my parents). Im now 23 and I paid off 3 negative accounts and paid one that we settled on an amount. I know its going to be on my credit for awhile but it says zero balance now. My question is, i got a new credit card to rebuild my credit its only $250 limit. Is it better for me to keep the balance very low? and of course make the payments on time? or do creditors want to see a balance held? Im at 555 score now i want to get back in the 600's whats the best way to get my score back up? any advice? and if i pay it on time for 6 months how fast will it go up again/>
