I am thinking of investing in a basic sat-nav model (no more than £200) as will soon be starting a job that requires me to travel to new places everyday. And I am hopeless with maps! Is it worth investing in one? What models do you recommend? How do you power them up - do they need to be installed/attached to anything in the car or do you just stick them on the screen?

It seems like more and more people would rather take pill after pill as a quick fix for their health concerns and the pharmaceutical companies don't mind complying with their demands because the profit is so good. But it's getting to the point where you see a lot of old folks taking 4,5,6 or more pills a day for every condition they suffer from. Do all these pills improve the quality of their lives? NO! THIS IS NO WAY TO LIVE A HEALTHY, HAPPY LIFE! We are an overmedicated society!

Why do parents ignore their kids so much in public? I work at a job where I get to see kids and parents all day long, Emergency room..and when the parents are in the waiting room with their kids...they are reading magazines and not even paying attention to the kids until they start getting loud and out of control....but its so obvious that these kids just want attention....and its not just a 1 in 10 thing..its almost all parents...whats up with that?

I am travelling from Manchester to Delhi. I know knitting needles are prohibited but does anyone know for certain if you are allowed to take a crochet hook on the plane? I have no doubt that God is real. I have no doubt that Jesus is real. I do doubt that your religion is real. I can make a blanket statement like "your religion" because there is no religion on Earth that is right. I heard one of the ommitted gospels quotes Jesus as saying something along the lines of God can be found within. If this is true, it seems that God is more likely to be found in quiet contemplation than in a Church. Why does religion keep us from God?
