I have 3 girls ages 3,5 and 6. I only know how to put their hair in a ponytail. Their school pictures are coming up and I would like to be able to fix their hair up to look prettier and better than the simple plain pony tail.

My personal opinion as a Christian person has me going back and forth. I feel for their desire to progress and support their families. On the other hand , acts such as the place they are creating as a "sanctuary" for illegals could actually be taken as an act of war. Entering in a foreign country and overtaking real estate is the definition of invasion. My desire to love my fellow man and my patriotism are at odds.
What do you feel about this my brothers in Christ?

i've just run a focus group on some children accessing social services. one of them was an eight yr old girl, with a serious blackeye and a badly broken leg, her case worker told me she'd been used as a punch bag for a while...

how? why? could somebody explain as i really don't understand at all. i'm seriously lost for words.

I hear this on our local radio station (WPST) as one of the quotes when they announce the Morning show, and I think it's from a movie or TV show but I'm not sure...the actor's voice (it's a male saying the line) even sounds familiar, but I can't see his face or even give his name...Here's the quote:

"Now flukes like you are either nutcases or they're troublemakers, I just wanna know which one I've got on my hands."

It sounds like something from a Back To School/Breakfast Club/Ferris Bueller type movie, but I'm not sure. Again, it's a really distinct voice, almost a slight southern accent to it. Older actor (not like Anthony Hopkins, but maybe in the 40s or 50s)...Anyone have any ideas on what movie this is from, who the actor is, anything??

i dont know about anyone else, but i wear the same clothes all year long. jeans and t shirts. hoodie or sweatshirt in the cold.
i dont understand this whole, "fall fashion" "summer colors" business. what's the difference as long as your comfortable?
maybe its because my mother didnt raise me as a fashion consious prep (no offense meant. i just cant think of what else to call all you mainstreamers.)
maybe it's because i dont care and i like wearing black all year.

when one gives his full affection ,love n care ,to his wife n expects from her that shee too cares for his parents n family,then why does he not get back the love n care from her n why does she live so care lessly n does not understand the pains of her husband.why she argues n then feels bad for the pain she gives to her husband n still does not change n improve. is it possible to change any ones nature n how can the husband change her attitude n nature.husband nows that she to loves him but she is not ready to change or adjuct with the needs of the family.he is lost in thoughts all day n has started to get depressed n is least interested to live life .he has become negative n has no expectation of happines n joy in life any more .nw how con he live happly with his parents,brothers nwife?

He is only 5 years old, but has terminal cancer. My vet said that whenever we felt it was time, we could have it done. The cancer has spread through his lungs, and he has started caughing blood. I'm afraid he will choke on blood and die a frightening death.

He also has pain in his legs, and has trouble walking because of this. Before the cancer he was very active, but now he can only go on occasional short walks. In this situation, would you have the dog put to sleep, or let him die naturally.

My husband and I are trying to do the pay ourselves 10% thing, so I used Quicken yesterday to write up a budget according to our basic needs (I thought it was pretty strict anyway), and of course it left us in the red by about that 10% that we want to save - grumble, grumble, grumble.

I know we can make it work, and I've probably just got to go back to the drawing board here. I've heard that once the money you save is out of sight and mind, most people magically manage to make their budgets work anyway...is that true? Should I just hide that money and see what happens?
