My left and right arrow keys do not work?

I am using Windows XP Professional SP2 and have HP nx8220 laptop. Recently my left and right arrow keys have stopped working. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It is also that the keys DO start working after the laptop has been turned on for one hour or so. The keys that also do not work are delete and plus/star on a standard English keyboard layout.

If it's still under warranty, you can get a new keyboard from them, and depending on the support package you got they might install it for you (it's not hard anyway).
