Is there a consensus on anything among Christians? I mean, I am a Christian, but I disagree with a lot of the different religions doctrines that aren't based on Biblical principles.
However, my personal opinion is that just because some man drew a line in the sand and made it a border doesn't give anyone an excuse to not allow the same freedoms and benefits to all of God's children.

the only reason there's such a "problem" with illegal immigration is that it's very difficult to enter the country legally. if more visas were given out each year and allotted based upon demand instead of the current system where each country gets a set # then more Latinos would be here legally and this would be a non-issue. Most Latinos are also Christian and will tell you that it is their responsibility to their family to provide them the best life they can. Laws are different everywhere so to the previous comment about laws of God vs laws of man, obviously the laws of God prevail, especially when different countries/cultures have differing opinions of what is just.
get used to it, we beaners will soon be the majority in this country (but before that happens whites will become the minority taking into account all Latinos, Africans, Asians)

I don't think there is a consensus. On the other hand, I'm not aware of illegal immigrants taking over real estate. On that there would be a consensus, whether they were legal or illegal immigrants, or whether they were citizens!
Personal I would take my view on illegal immigrants on a one by one basis. Why did they come in? How desperate were they?
I certainly don't feel as harsh as many who discuss illegal immigration in 'Answers'. And often I feel downright sympathetic toward the immigrants.

Well,
It is Illegal.
I am all for legal immigration, and think we should treat these people humanely.
But if we want to help people in need in other countries, lets go there and help them.
We do not have room here for the hundreds of millions of people world wide living in poverty.
We should crack down seriously on the employers taking advantage of these people. They drive down labor rates for our own citizens that are starting out, and encouraging more illegals. It is immoral for any employer to do this.
We should be on a mission to help the less fortunate, and we have a moral obligation to do so. We can just go there and do it. Many do not need a fish to feed them for a day, they need to learn to fish and be fed for a lifetime.
Peace!

There is no legal nor illegal (immigration) among true Christ-ians; For Christ is the end of the law, which is thereby the end of both legal and illegal.
Many (over 25%) Americans seem to be (mentally) ill now, and perhaps due to being legal (under the law) to begin with.
Contrary to GWB's "America is nation under law", the Bible says, twice in Romans: "ye are not under the law, but under grace"; That is: "if led of the Spirit", which is further clarified to foolish bewitched churches in Galatains; Which is the only book of the Bible written "unto the churches". So then, hear what the Spirit saith "unto the churches" x 7 in Revelation, perhaps refers to Galatians (written by the same person who authored and signed Revelation with his token in every epistle, by his own hand): Galatians: which also notes "unto the churches" it is "evident" (obvious from biblical evidence provided) "that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God". Not to mention the law is not of faith (and whatsoever is not of faith is sin in Rom 14:23, also authored by his witness unto all men).
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ WITH YOU ALL. AMEN.
