I was driving to work this cool morning, and drove by the ocean. The sun was coming up, and the sunrise was so beautiful. There were pinks, blues, purples, and oranges. I thought to myself, this would be a waste if it was all by accident.

i cannot get ANY kind of job, and i mean that. most people seem to think that it means i am not trying. they say, just get some shitty boring job. the point is that i can't even get those. i have tried. nobody wants me. the way i was brought up was to be polite, unassuming, gentle. even to answer a phone they want a **** who can yell really loudly about himself and has ambition. essentially, someone who i would probably hate. so the question is: should i keep trying? or just run away and hide? and why should i have to change, if indeed i can, or should? to be honest, this is becoming more of a rhetorical question.

For an example my best mate found out her bf had a stash (mags,dvds) and she asked him if he could get rid of it because she felt offended (which he did). . . then he was looking at her laptop and found some sites for women and now he isnt talking to her ! ?

I am agnostic but my parents and my aunt are very devoted Catholics.

My sister wants to marry a guy in the service. Something about his military duties stated that they had to have a civil wedding in order to live on his base together.

My sister is also agnostic and would only be doing a Catholic wedding to please my parents, which is what I did.

My parents are not respecting my sister's decision to have a civil wedding, and they were making huge problems for my sister by meddling.

Now my sister has decided to elope and not tell my parents. I have advised my parents that they need to respect her decision or they would end up causing hurt feelings on both sides.

I know my sister does not want me to tell my parents about her plans for a civil wedding, and I WILL respect her request. This is going to devastate my parents.....

How do I deal with the fallout? Anyone go through a similar experience? It's not going to be pretty.
