No. I don't think any insect can because of the body temperature requirement - the virus needs a warm body to stay alive and I don't think there are any bugs that maintain 98 degree body temperature.

No, the virus cannot survive outside of the human body for longer than a fraction of a second. A flea does not have the body temperature that humans do so the virus dies very quickly. It's the same reason why mosquitos can't infect another person. Regardless of what some may have said, there is NO WAY you could be infected because of a flea.

I looked at a couple of your answers already, And I think if the flea bites an infected person and jumps directly to another without getting oxygen to the blood anything is possible. I wouldn't want nothing to bite me that has bitten a infected person I wouldn't want to take the chance. Scientist say allot but nobody really knows whats going on. Really it's a man made disease anyway that is screwed up enough. Don't you thank.

They say mosquito's can. The blood basically still has to be 'alive' in order to make any disease transferable, so if the people were close enough that the blood could actually 'live' between bites, then yes, it is possible as fleas, and ticks are blood suckers. The likliehood however - incredibly low.

Ha ha ha. If I were you, given the circumstances, I'd get tested for all sorts of things including voodoo syndrome and any sudden desire to ritually sacrafice any small children. Yes the flea has probably passed on a vast array of things and now you're possessed by the medicine man.

No. HIV was designed to spread from human to human exchange of bodily fluids either through sexual transmission or the sharing of needles for drug use.

Seems like the appropriate thing would be to ask the person if they have any std's... You could then allow your mind to rest a bit. Assuming something is not the best way to go.

No, the HIV dies as it needs a carrier, and the flea itself doesn't get infected by it.
Also, a flea injects you with saliva, but doesn't inject you with anyone else's blood.
