We just adopted a little baby who was only 3 days old when we took custody. We love him with all our heart and we want to be honest with him when he is older and tell him how much we wanted him and that his birth mom gave him up to give him what she couldn't. We don't want him to find out when he is 16 years old and turn to drugs because "his whole life has been a lie". How were you told? Can you give advice at what age you think we should tell him or should we tell him now and keep telling him over and over even though he is a baby so he can nver remember the day he found out he was adopted. He will just know. Like he'll know his ABC's. Just wanted to hear other people's experiences. Thanks.

I am 42 years old and just graduated with my RN. I have never worked in the health field before and recently took a job on a very busy med/surg floor in a hospital. Two months have past and I don't feel like I am able to handle the amount of responsibility the job entails. I also feel that the other nurses are losing their patience with me and feel that I should be able to handle more than I am and that they are becoming unwilling to help when I need assistance. I do not want to give up but my gut feeling is that I will never be able to do this particular job well. Any suggestions?

I've argued this time and time again with many different groups Atheist, Christian, Etc... and there are many who eventually do agree.

There is one single truth in the universe. Regardless of whether the Atheists are right, the Christians are right, or (God forbid) the Scientologists are right. There is one answer. Everything else is a perception of that answer.

I know this sounds really simple, but for some reason when I declare to people that there is a single answer I keep getting the reply "from you're perspective". I agree, I do have a perspective and there are many others that has their ideas of the way they think things are, BUT it still remains that whether we agree or not on what it may be, that there IS just one "Truth" to the universe.

I'll add detail as people respond and please update your perspectives with "edit".

(For Clarification)
by saying Truth I'm refering to the big picture (ie. Why we're here. What created the universe.)

OZARK, Mo. -- The lawyer for a man from Nixa who is accused of more than 20 sex crimes with children in four counties said Wednesday afternoon that he expected his client to be out of jail by that night. A judge set a $25,000 bond for Larry Savage on the latest charge against him, sexual exploitation of a minor, and ordered him to appear in court again on Oct. 25 for a preliminary hearing.

Christian County sheriff’s deputies hoped a judge would not set a bond, keeping Savage in jail until he’s tried. Savage surrendered on Tuesday afternoon after deputies spent several days looking for him with an arrest warrant.

This is just something thats been buggin me for a while, i was just wondering how you would start a conversation with someone you dont know, or have never talked to before. Its just, a week ago, one of my friends pointed out that i barely ever seem to talk to anyone else but them. Which is true. Also, Its not really that important, Its just once when i was in english class, we had to work with a partner, and the teacher guy told me to work with this girl. Since i was forced to talk to her, we actually got on great and i could tell she liked me. a few days later though, started talking to one of my friends, and of course, she was expecting me to talk to her. which i just couldnt do, cos i had no idea what to say. So basicly im askin you guys, how do you start a incredibly interesting conversation without any of those: "awkward silences"?
