how does a rain alarm using transistors (without IC 555) work????????????????

Brought Morph on Thursday just gone. She looked a bit under weight in my opinion. Got some crickets. Med size, and some meal worms.
I Placed 5 crickets in the tank, Ive found 4 dead and Im sure there is still one roaming.
Temp is at 80 whic ive been told is right, also fresh water is in there.
It could be coz she is somewhere new (same viv just different house)
Bit worried. Any clues?
Ive been told she is around a year old.
She licks her lips oftern, and found her grooming herself today so it cant be all that bad?

I have been with by boyfriend for almost 3 month now. He is the longest relationship that I have had since the 6th grade. I have feelings for him that I have not had for any one else before. Is it to soon to say that I love him. We have both expressed our fears and hopes to each other and he has already asked me to joins his family for Christmas. I pulled my hair back with a purple pony tail holder last night before getting into the hot tub. When I woke up this morning, there were awful reddish streaks throughout my hair, where apparently the dye from the pony tail holder bled onto my hair. I've washed it 3 times with a clarifying shampoo, which took some of it out, but I still have plenty of noticeable red running through my hair! Any ideas on removing it? My hair is naturally blonde.

I'd like to find some sort of perfume to wear for special occasions but I'm really sensitive to certain smells. Anything that is fruity or flowery makes me sick. I need something that's woodsy or smoky and I can't find anything at the department stores....any suggestions?

my mother is 55 years old and for the past 12+ years she has been complaining of all the symptoms of bilary duct disease. it has only been recently that they have diagnose her with that. every time she had an attack they never knew what was wrong. now that they know she meets all the criteria for having her gallbladder removed but the surgeon who examined her said she does not present with jaundice so he feels she should wait. the problem with that is she cant keep any food down and is consistently loosing weight. she is just over 5 feet tall and weighs approx. 110 lbs. this question is for any medical proffesionals.. is it standard to wait until the patient has jaundice? at that point it may be too late and once jaundice is present with all the other severe symptoms her organs may fail and she may die. she is a veteran at the VA hosp. in texas. how can we (the family) get them to perform the surgery NOW before it is too late.

so the Pope has said something that offends the followers of Islam. Because of the violent reactions displayed in the past by the followers of Islam when they have been offended the Pope apologizes. As an example here is a recent quote from a Christian on this forum about non-faith people - 'they know there must be something more to this life than just BANG...LIVE....DIE' -- my question is why?

And why do religious people justify this (God) as any form of rational/sane thinking? Essentially it seems to boil down to - I don't want to face the fact that I might not live for ever and therefore I refuse to believe it, and I think anyone else who says they believe it must be lying because I cannot cope - so how could they?

Please do not bombard me with 'God speak' or 'I pity and forgive you' or 'you will burn in hell' or ' how sad you aren't going to Disneylan/Heaven' - just give me a rational/logical reason why my belief's are in any way less valid than yours - and if possible why a 'supernatural being' creation is not less likely/logical/rational than a scientific (and yes incomplete) non interventionist existance.
