i turned 18 in july. i have a suspicion my ex raped me when we were just friends when i was 16 and he was 21 he got me drunk and gave me pills and i passed out to where i couldn't not be woken and i was swore the next morning, but had no proof and i thought he wouldnt do that he is to nice. then we started having intercourse right after i turned 17. then at 17 i got pregnant. during most of my pregnancy he was 22. i had our child at 17 about 3 weeks later i turned 18. then i had to take our child to the hospital his father, my ex, was watching him that night he confessed to have abused our 7 week old child at the time. my child had 15 broken bones, he was thrown in jail and his parents bailed him out till the trial. and i'm so mad i would like to get him in trouble for more things that he is quilty of, because he hurt my baby! In texas can a 22 year old man be prosicuted for being with a 17 year old female.

Problem playing 100MB .mpg file...?

My cousin sent me .mpg files of his football game. He says it's a good 30-40 mins, but only 30 seconds of it plays. Using Quicktime on OS X to view it.

Office Xmas Party: Am I the only one in this predicament?

Well summer has drawn to an end, daddy-long-legs have woken up and plans are under way for our office Christmas party already!

Ever since my divorce and resulting health set-back, I have developed trust issues relating to friendships of any nature. While this has proven good at preventing any sort of recurrence of the past, I have this perennial problem. For the last couple of years our company has been very generous and have invited 'partners' to our Christmas party. This year we have plans to celebrate it at a plush venue in London. So now I have a dilemma. Who to take? Should I go? I feel awkward being the only single and unattached person there and don't want my colleagues to feel awkward either.

Now, I don't hold any expectation of finding a date from this question, so don't read too much in to this!

I'm just curious to know if there are any others who face this dilemma and what they intend to do to resolve this matter?

Words of wisdom are encouraged, welcomed and appreciated.

Stripped nut on a '96 Nissan Centra positive battery terminal?

Anyone got a good suggestion for removing a nut that is stripped? I'm trying to remove my battery from my '96 Nissan Centra and the nut on the possitive terminal is stripped and too hard to get to with pliers or a conventional nut splitter. I think I had a bad angle on the nut and it started to strip. I tried some vise grips, cleaning the terminal, wd40, different socket wrench heads, everything, but no luck. Please help!

Will using a walkthrough(doorless) wardrobe damage your clothes?

My frends told me that using the open wardrobe will damage your clothes. Meaning the clothes will have yellow spots or marks cos dust can easily get to them. But what if my room is generally clean and im generally hygienic? Meaning I'll throw in the washer watever I was wearing on that day, never putting it back in the wardrobe. And my room's not dusty or cockroaches infested. Anyone has that kind of wardrobe?

At times they seem to be so. And it is taken for granted that this section of human race is always tend to be frail and fragile. Generally the sizable portion of womenfolk never stick to anywhere unless they are glued to somewhere with a natural cause like the basic instincts or desire to belong somewhere or someone. It seems these people are so much self conceited and prejudiced whatever exceptions we see. is the biological or psychological composition of a female entity the real cause behind this factor? are they really the lowliest creatures among humankind? I am afraid I am likely to termed to be misogenic or male chauvinistic if I disclose the truth.

Any good Malaysian restaurant in the Bay Area?

I've tried Straits Cafe, Penang Garden, Banana Leaf, and Red Kwali and a few defunct ones, but none have been satisfactory to me. I'm looking for something at least as good as "Penang" of New York Chinatown; heard they've opened a Penang in So.Cal but not in the Bay. Has anyone else come across a good one around here?
