According to perlldoc - I should not get a match if $word is say 509992. It should only match if it is at least 2 digits and no more than 4. See this snippit:

my $word = $ARGV[0];
print "It matches\n" if $word =~ /\d{2,4}/;

Yet if I feed this something whacky like 50401030303 - it WILL match and print out "It matches". Is this guy's perlrequick document just wrong on this point or have I futzed something up?

Yet, only man is made in the image of God (Genesis 1:26) with the power of free choice (Joshua 24:15). Thus Biblically, man is the only part of creation to which salvation can be offered to be accepted or rejected.

This tells use there is a quadratic with no real roots. So by moving the function down (by k) until it touches the x-axis (4 zeros shown (multiplicity of 2) )or the turning point is below the x-axis (5 zeros shown) you have created a function that one can see all roots. When you move the function down all the zeros will be moved also.

Can someone explain to me more briefly on that statement above, give me an example if you can so it will be more clearer.

2 Months ago i courted this girl and she answered me that shes already comfortable as friends but here is the big thing her grandmother ask me last week if i have feelings for her grandaughter and ofcourse i answered yes and she told me to fight for her love. And then she told me that everything that we have talked about was that her grandaughter knew everything what do you think? Is she trying to say that she already have feelings for me and to court her again? This morning i gave her a love letter and a cd with love songs. I wrote there all my feelings for her and that i want to be good friends with her i think that way we can be close together and get to know each other even more and i asked her to be my best friend. And i really cant see the comfortability that she told me before so i asked her yesterday about this and she answered that shes not really comfortable and i asked her why then she answered i dont know so i made this letter. Why is it so that shes not comfortable?

My dad said that if my fiance and I push the wedding back he'd pay for school. A month before school starts he tells me he's not going to pay. Finacial aid won't help because he makes so much money but I don't live with my family I live with my fiance. Does anyone know of good scholarship websites to look at and apply for any? I have twin 16 month old boys who are absolutely adorable (ok... i know...). That said, I've got one who I feel needs a time out every now and then. I don't want to give a time out if he developmentally can't understand it yet - seems to defeat the purpose... but he understands when I say no and redirect him, so I'm thinking he might understand if I give him a time out, it means that I find his behavior unacceptable. Is this realistic?
