The last gift I gave my Mom was making her a nice meal. If she likes to cook the best thing you can do is to encourage her to help you if you think she would like that. It would be something you could do together. Frst find out her favorite food if you don't already know it. Then go to her home or invite her to yours and cook the meal while she's there. And if she likes wine pick up a bottle or 2 and drank and talk while you cook.
This will give her and you some time together and if you're a half way decent cook as I am it will make her think that she taught you something. Then just beforer you sit down to eat bring out a nice little bouquet of her favorite flowers with a card.
Believe me my Mom, God rest her soul, never got tired of me doing this for her.

I absolutely just love the sincere versus and special Mom gifts. You can go to a chrisitan store and find beautiful memorable gifts. Now if you aren't religious, then I would recommend a silver bracelet, not expensive and watch for the 60% off sales, they happen frequently and get one with a heart, have it engraved with your name and wishes or just a plain heart. If she has a charm bracelet, get a charm with a special memorable momentum, add one red rose to demonstrate your love. Go to the mall and the store that has rememember me.
Very low cost: Make a special day for your mom, go to a park and spend the day, go to a museum or craft fair and take her to lunch. Give her a card that says, this is your day and you and me are spending the day together and bring her one red rose, demonstrates love and that will give her a memory for a lifetime.
Have fun!

I am a 53 yr.old Mom, & recently had a birthday!! My daughter & son-in-law, along with their 2little boys, gave me a gift I absolutely loved!! My daughter cut small pieces of paper, & let her children & husband think of things they could do to help me, & they wrote things like-- this card good for 1 trip to grocery store, this card good for 1 cleaning & straightening pantry, this card good for a whole day of visiting with you, ect.-- these cards have given me such joy, & cost them nothing much but their time, which is what we moms cherish most!! Good luck, & you sound like a wonderful son!!Oh, by the way, just put the cards in any type cute little container-- my grandson made mine out of craft sticks, which will be something I will keep always!!

I am a 54 year old Mom and just had a birthday Sept. 7. My girls asked me to drive over to their college and they took me out to breakfast and we visited for most of the day. It was wonderful and I had such a good time. Do something special with your Mom, she doesn't necessarily need something useful, she needs you.

in the early morning show up in front of her house or her room, surprise her, and said 'happy birthday mom', hug her, give her your best hug and kiss... and then cook with her, make some foods (b'fast, lunch, and dinner) or birthday cake and then celebrate it with all your family... NOTHING MORE THAN YOUR LOVE AND CARE FOR HER, EVEN STUFFS SHE LIKES... JUST YOUR LOVE AND CARE... i believe it would be the most unforgetable birthday moment for her... if you can't cook just me a 'silly kid' just for 1 day for yr mom.
and if you really want to give her stuff, just buy recipe book, pick yr favourite one and cook with her... GOOD LUCK!!

Give her a girt certificate for the amount you can afford. Then that way she can get herself what she needs.

Preparing a nice sit-down meal for your mom and just chatting with her, letting her know how much she is loved and appreciated, would have far more meaning and lasting impression on her than anything you could purchase.
