I'm working on polar coordinates and I would like to know how to approach this problem. Please do not solve for me since I do not wish to know the answer anyway. Here is the problem for reference:

To the nearest integer, what is the distance between the points of intersection of the polar curves:

r = 4cos(theta) and r = 2 / [cos(theta) + sin(theta)]

Should I convert to x and y form first? And then I don't understand what the distance between the points of interesection means here...should there even be a distance between the "Points of intersection"?

Also, this is to be done without a graphing calculator or utility.

The buildings' structural integrety was dependent on the outer perimeter which in turn was dependent on floors bolted to the inner core preventing the outer perimeter walls from buckling out.

What also shocked me is that there were only 3 stair ways (wells) that were standard in size! NOT built for evacuations.

My girl always tells me that she dont deserve me but I feel as if I dont deserve her.We work together and at first I would never talk to her or ever let her see me look at her. All the guys would try to talk to her but I would leave her alone.
When I finally started talking to her (because she got some of my paper work by accident) I was just cool with her. I would be very blunt and honest with her. I started to like her but never showed it. I would pick on her and make fun of her but just playing around and I never would follow her like all the other guys. I would sometimes even ignore her and she would come and look for me.
There are other guys who have given her things.THis one guy would always tell her She looked beautiful everyday. I never complimented her once.A guy once left a note on her car and I said " I wish someone would leave me a note" she laughed about it.A week later I get a note on my car from her and the rest is history.I did nothing so why do I get to have her?
