My Cancerian friend started to ignore me (I think) after she came back which puzzled me. Before, everything were ok and happy but after that she started ignoring me and giving lots of alibis to avoid me whenever I e-mail or ask her out. Despite of that, I send encouraging messages everyday via sms or e-mail just to let her know I care & I'll be there for her. We only see each other during weekends (before in regular basis but now became seldom) at the church for a very short period. I consider her as a "real friend" as she really a nice person though moody cancerian. I really hope that everything will turn back as they were. I wish to talk to her and see if I had offended her (cancerian are sensitive person) but 'till now she can't confirm the time. What if I send her some flower will that do any good? Should I say sorry even though I'm not sure if she's angry with me or not? Wish someone (cancerian) can give me some advises. I want to patch up the gaps between us.

I moved into an apartment and I am noticing that it has a lot of these gray moths flying around inside. I have tried Cedar and also mothballs and they keep coming back. They especially attack under my bird's cage and I clean the cage all the time. They are EVERYWHERE in my house. Every single room has moths and I have never seen anything like this.
I spoke to the landlord and he says that moths don't fall under the "pests" problems that he is required to take care of and an exterminator is very expensive.
I need a solution that is pet friendly because I have a dog and a bird.
I keep the bird seed, bird bedding and dog food in an airtight container and there are no bugs around them.
I know I didn't bring the moths when I moved because I have never had them before.
Anyway, I would appreciate any help! These little buggers are driving me crazy!!

when people say that all immigrants MUST assimilate, isn't that like telling them what to do?

america is the land of the free. that's why we made it, to be free and also be free of a controling nation

when i hear people say that immigrants MUST assimilate, i think, "well, you could at least say something like 'in my opinion, immigrants should give an effort to assimilate"

i hope you all understand what i'm saying. i understand why you want them to assimilate, but when you demand it as if its an order, it comes off as rude or controling. it defies america itself.

We moved to USA from UK a year ago.Our plan was to find a job and good house,maybe start to study somewhere.We had enough money for everything.For 9 years my husband tried to save that money.9 years he was in Navy.Then,when we moved to here we found out he had a cancer.Means,need treatment,no time for job,no physicly energy for anything like that.I was with him in hospital and everywhere all the time.At home after chemoteraphy,everywhere.I cant find any job,coz just got here,and learn english better.We dont have any insuranse,ofcourse.We have to pay about 40 000 $ for surgeries and treatment. But these people call all the time from hospitals and remind us to pay a checks.Dont they understand that person cant work right after surgery and chemo?Not having any insuranse,any job. ANYBODY knows here any way to get a job,by looking for it online?Soon,hopefully,he will feel better and can start working.He has a good education.But we dont see anyway to find a job in USA.How people find a jobs?
