Kobe
kobe is a pure scorer and can beat u any way at any time. Ppl say he is a ball hog, but he keeps the ball because his team does best when he has the ball in his hands. Kobe, if needed, and if he had better support, can be an awesome playmaker.
I like Shaq too, but his inability to make free throws, and then his ability to be in his game when its tight at the end is an obvious shortcoming. Also, Shaq has to have someone to get the ball to him inside so that he can work his magic and throw one down. Kobe can make his own shots, and shaq cant. So Kobe is better

Even though shaq got the last laugh this year by winning his like 100th championship ring, kobe is still better JUST BECAUSE OF AGE. Now if shaq was 5 or 6 years younger, then shaq would be the better player, but it's kobe JUST BECAUSE OF AGE.

any team that has shaq is always better. shaq's size, power, and dominance in the paint gives a team a huge boost. look what happened. shaq leaves to miami and wins an nba championship. kobe is nothing without shaq. kobe will never win another ring wihtout a center like shaq.

Even though I actually LOVE BOTH players, I would say Kobe. Shaq is still the dominant big man in the NBA but he's gotten a little slower than previous years. When he was on the magic he was a lot faster and quicker. Now, eh, not so much. Kobe is more agile and he can definitely get it done. Go Lakers! :-)

as far as the truth is concerned, Shaq daddy was Top Dog when both played for the champion lakers... and last i checked, kobe hasn't won a title without Shaq... kobe knows that without shaq, all he can win is a scoring title and he should accept the face that with Shaq's departure, the lakers are stuck in the middle of the pack...
kobe and the lakers suck...

shaq is a taller, more massive human being - therefore can just muscle his way all over the court...so, he does have better abilities than kobe....but if youve seen shaq in interviews and stuff -he's incredibly self absorbed with his superman persona...the S's scattered about his home on MTV cribs, etc....and his jokes suck...i think kobe's a bit more smooth - he just cant out-muscle shaq so

Kobe is one of the best ever, but is not a team player. Shaq is great in his role + he is a team player which equals another championship.
