6 Marines charged in Iraq assault By Tom WATKINS, Associated Press

SAN DIEGO - An investigation into the death of an Iraqi civilian has led to assault charges against six Marines accused of injuring civilians in the village of Hamdania in April, officials said.


Three of the men are already being held on murder charges in the death of 52-year-old Hashim Ibrahim Awad, an Iraqi civilian. Military officials said Thursday the assaults were uncovered during an investigation into the slaying.

A seventh Marine, an officer, is expected to be charged next week in the assault case, said Lt. Col. Colby Vokey, the Marine Corps' defense coordinator for the western United States.

The nature of the assaults was described as brutal. The Marines said it was the American way.

Charged Thursday were Lance Cpl. Saul H. Lopezromo, Pfc. Derek I. Lewis, Lance Cpl. Henry D. Lever, Sgt. Lawrence G. Hutchins III, Cpl. Trent D. Thomas and Lance Cpl. Jerry E. Shumate Jr., officials said.

my sister is going mad to get married to guy tht she loves. but tht guy came to my parents and said tht he is not interested in my sis. after a looong argument the boy asked for some time to think. and he was allowed 3 days...he called rite after 3dyz and demanded a VISA then only he will marry my sis…obviously my parents rejected him aftr his demand! My son is 3, I get him up at about 630 am for daycare, since I work full time. He is having trouble at naptime, but shows that he IS tired. A friend of mine says that I put him down too early in the evening. But I don't think so...I put him down between 730 and 8 pm and I was told that he needs 11-12 hours of sleep. What are your opinions???????

I just read the report on the 'offensive' magazine cover (simply a mother feeding her baby). There's nothing offensive about the human body at all, and more of it should be shown on TV, instead of the extremely gross things we see today (CSI, blood, news reports of death, and how many Iraqis we've killed). Some people may say 'to protect the children', but what is it really going to hurt? Everyone has a body, everyone knows what they look like.

i just got my computer back from the repair shop. they had to replace the video card and the moden. well now my problem is this. when i play music or watch a video on youtube it goes really slow or it messes up and plus if you have another web page up that messes up the music and videos too..what could be causing this problem? just about everything i do on here messes with the music and videos..talking to people on AIM or Yahoo. everything. i hope someone can help me with this.

I am a hanif-muslim and I have come to the conclusion that ALLAH is the lord GOD of Israel.And jehova, jesus, and the father are a different diety.This is blasphemy to most, but true to my PEACE.Even in the psalms of david(pbuh), he referred to his GOD as the lord GOD of Israel to add to the 99+1 names and qualities of ALLAH.And it was the so called believers who troubled his soul so much.
