I have a 96 Ford Windstar. I am wondering why the front a/c is blowing warm air while the back unit is blowing real cold. It is one single unit and I don't understand.

The engine heat is interfering with the air cooler from the front side where as there is no such source to meddle.

the back is recirulating and the front is bringing in outside air. Or your heater core is activated in the front and not completly shut off. Its more than likely a valve or relay.
