My first reaction upon reading that was, "WHAT?!" I mean the most serious role Heath had to date was Brokeback Mountain (if that's considered to be)
Don't know maybe it's his look or the way he carries himself, it's just too laidback like a surfer dude or something.
But I guess we'll have to watch the flick to have the final verdict. After all actors cast in unconventional roles do surprise audiences with good results, mostly. Case in point, I didn't think or could picture Kelsey "Frasier" Grammer as Beast in X-Men: 3, lol but he did good=)

Nobody can be a better Joker than Nicholson. However, Heath is a good enough actor that he can lose himself in the role without the audience looking at "Heath". And it will also depend on how good the movie is. Let's face it, after the 1st Batman with Keaton, the franchise faltered a little until the recent Batman Begins. So it will be interesting to see.

The problem is no matter how good he is it will be compared to the Nickelsons performance. I really don' t understand why they are doing the Joker again anyway. I think Batman 1989 was the best superhero movie evermade. DC is afraid to be creative and take a chance on a new story

We have to give Heath Ledger a chance? Yes, I agree. I don't want to judge Mr. Ledger. So far he's done what he's supposed to and that's to entertain me whether the movie is serious, comedic or not quite so good. He entertains me. He's done good work and he's acted in pictures I think were a mistake but one thing he does do is make his part believable. So I'll give him a chance. I would like Hollywood though to consider not doing remakes. There are so many imaginative people in 'the business' that you have to wonder why the remakes. Thanks for reading this.

I don't know, Jack Nicholson is a tough act to follow. I think Heath Leger is more pretty than crazy, but he is very talented. I'll give him a chance.

Very bad idea. But, then, so are most of the Batman movies.

Except Batman Begins. That was a step in the right direction.

I'm not sold...I was thinking John Malkovich, Adrien Brody,
Jason Lee

If they do another one after that - here are my choices for villians...
Phillip Seymour Hoffman should be Tut...
and Jack Black or Paul Giamatti - The Penquin...

specific, they'll launch the action picture because of fact it is already been filmed. it is in positioned up-production now. in the subsequent action picture after this one they'll in basic terms replace him. I recommend James Bond gets previous, they replace him. it is not going to end the character. somebody dies they replace him, it is in basic terms the way it is going. it is not insensitive regardless of if it is a corporation. the character is the character and an actor performs that character. in case you could desire to interchange the actor, it is the way it is going. from time to time it particularly works and from time to time it does not ("The Crow" action picture sequence), we will see in later years. as long as Bale is around I doubt the sequence will particularly omit a beat.
