Nursery trainees 'cannot spell'

Mrs Lawson says Vicky Pollards do not make good nursery nurses Students who want to train as childcare workers should have to meet a minimum standard for their courses, a childcare and teachers' leader said.

Too many students starting childcare training courses were unable to spell, said Deborah Lawson, chair of the Professional Association of Teachers.

Mrs Lawson said a growing number of young staff dressed and behaved inappropriately for a nursery setting.

The Department for Education and Skills rejected the criticisms as insulting.

Mrs Lawson said some nursery workers even discussed in front of toddlers how hungover they were feeling after a night on the town.

She said she did not want to stop anyone drinking - "if that's what works for you, that's fine".

As a nanny or a nursery worker, you are acting as role models for children...

my parents were highschool sweethearts and were married for 32 years. sadly, he passed away, taking his vow 'til death do us part' seriously. yeah they had their problems, but who doesn't?

I was saved at 4 years old and i have always loved the Lord and had a heart for missions. When i was very young i said i wanted to be a missionary. i was aways trying to bring people to Christ. I pretented to preach (even though i'm a girl..lol) and i always played church. I grew up a bit and became selfish and afraid and from then on every time i heard of missionarys or countries that needed missionarys i would turn my back to the idea of ever going over there. I've always just said oh i'll be a missionary here but whenever i said that i just didn't feel right. I knew there was something more i should do.I have no desire for any career, i want to have a family and serve God with a my future husband (when we get married) wherever he calls us. I feel that God has really given me the ability to go serve him whereever he wants me to. Slowly but surely i'm opening up to it. The man who i am intrested in but not serious with yet also has the same vision and passion. Am i cut out for this?

My monitor turns on and says no output then the screen turns black. It has to be a problem with the computer since I tried a friends monitor that was working on his but it still would not work with mine. Any suggestions?

I'm a college graduate, and I'm looking at going to Grad School for a Masters in Education. I've read a lot of American Classics, but I am looking for an extensive list of International & American Classics, that I should make sure I've read, so that I may consider myself a "well-read" individual. has anyone done this surgery if you did how did you manage to clear up all the bloody mucous that would stick in your nose? without blowing it? I can't breath really good cause of this mucous in the way.. I tried the nasal sprays but it hasn't really helped

Save the babies!!! Nix healthcare or any publicly sponsored child welfare system. That really makes alot of sense, you know? So, these poor kids grow up unwanted, undernurished, passed off to orphanges, abusive foster parents, and wind up in juvenile hall, then prison...or the graveyard due to violence or suicide. You know what you are "saving"....millions of Charles Mansons....products of the "compassionate conservative" system. Cold, bloodless sociopaths who wouldn't know a human thought if it stabbed them in the heart. This is worth saving?
