All right, this really frusterates me - and I was curious what everyones' thoughts were on it. Why is 'African-American' politically correct? My belief is, unless you were born in Africa and then became a US citizen, you're not African. I mean, I have family in Germany, and I don't go around demanding to be called 'German-American.' Why don't we just all stop referring to each other as 'black' or 'white' or 'democrat' or 'republican' and go on to use what we all are - AMERICAN? Technically, someone like Charlize Theron is an African-American versus someone like Jamie Foxx or Sean Combs.

I don't deny there is racism in this country, and I've grown up in a partially racist household. I, personally, am not racist. At the same time, I can see where the race card is being overused. I mean, some black people would have a fit being referred to as 'colored' and yet they gladly take money from the NAACP. Maybe I'm just blowing off steam...but does anyone else see this too??

I'm not trying to be racist but I'm worried about these ladies. So many latinas are pregant in my neighborhood and quit school to stay at home and rasie their kids while the boys go to school and work. Is this a culture thing?I want them to become something more than unwed teen mothers, I wish there would be more Latinas with college degrees and diplomas and high paying jobs.

Any literature out there (from an unbiased, independent source) that compares/rates "like" competing AC systems (Tons, SEER, Component Materials, Warranty, Price) from Trane, RUUD, Carrier, Amana, Westinghouse, American Standard, etc.

Every AC company tends to promote the unit that they have agreements (or biggest profit margin) with and always play down the other competitive units. Likewise, pricing in the industry is strenously controlled and not available to consumers (even retail pricing) unless you get a quote, making it extremely difficult to do your research.

I live in a 3rd floor apartment, with 1 window AC. I went away for 1 night, and I came back and it was like a sauna. I have cranked the AC for a few hours, but it's not as cold as I want it to be. How long will it take to cool the apartment? Or should I go to a hotel for the night? It is hot as hell!

i parked my 2 cars beside each other. This morning saw a caucasian drunk lying on ground completely conked out b between my to cars. Lucky i saw him.
