I had a container of sour cream in the bottom part of refrigerator and it froze, will i still be able to use it, just recently purchased it?

While you certainly can use it, it may not be as smooth as it was before freezing. Thaw it, whisk or beat it witih a mixer, it may get just as smooth as before. It is not affected as to flavor, nor how it will act in sauces, baking, etc. Also a tip: Place unopened sour cream containers upside down in the refrigerator, It will last WAY past its expiration date

yeah--just make sure to thoroughly defrost it before you use it because having ice chunks in your sour cream is kinda gross when you bite down

Sure, just thaw it out and it will be OK. We freeze milk all the time and it thaws out OK.

heat it up for at least 10 sec. and taste. if not, heat some more.

yes.. no problem with that.. u will just have to defreeze it.. and add a little milk if reqd..
