This really gets on my nerves... big time. Anybody else notice how almost every movie uses that hackneyed phrase?? All the characters have names... they ALL go by their names, usually just the last names. All except this one CENTRAL character who happens to be the wife or the girlfriend or the daughter of this one guy hero. And everybody keeps calling her "THE GIRL." It's SO stupid.

Who's with me on this? Who can name at least one film where they do this? I can name two right off the top of my head: "Enemy of the State" "Lethal Weapon"

OK, I know that a whole bunch of guys are going to get real upset, don't bother. Just think if you watched a movie where a whole bunch of women were interacting, and they kept saying "THE GUY" all the time. Wouldn't that seem stupid, too???

Since last Sunday, I've got 13 fish from Wal-Mart & they've all died except 2. I've had 2 double-tailed goldfish {one for me & one for my brother, both in separate tanks}, Mollies & 1 Angelfish that is still alive, along with one mollie :]
I'd LOVE to breed some fish & have some little fishes in the tank, but they just seem to die =/

Any ideas or suggestions please? I'd just like to have some fish that'll stay alive.

Remember these jeans? before all this disco designer and then baggy and low rise hip hugger flare stuff happened?

They came in all sorts of neon bright colors.. navy, red, brown, green, blue....white contrast stitching, leather patch over back right pocket....knee patches...guarantee from Sears they would never wear out. Wore them from 5-15. I remember a few times when I was wearing the bright red Toughskins and if I misbehaved Mom would ask if I wanted a bottom to match my red jeans?

Internet has more than a few postings from people who say their parents made them wear them as kids and are now scarred for life.

They always were ill-fitting but if Sears would improve the fit, put a hip hugger low rise, rear lift, man they'd sell these to today's young women.

A Grundo, a Gnorbu, a Gelert, and a Grarrl need to walk from Sakhmet to Qasala during a really bad heat wave. The heat is so bad, it's not possible to cross the open desert without some sort of shade. Fortunately, they have one umbrella. Unfortunately, however, only a maximum of two pets at a time can fit under the umbrella. The Grundo can cross the desert alone in 20 minutes. The Gnorbu can make the crossing alone in 16 minutes. The Grarrl can make the crossing alone in 8 minutes. And the Gelert can make the crossing in 4 minutes. Note that when two pets are making the crossing, they must do so at the pace of the slower pet!

What is the minimum number of minutes that it will take for all of the pets to safely be together in Qasala?

This dream was long ago almost to when I was just between five and ten, perhaps. I walked through the desert with a group who I assumed was some sort of tour, but there was no tour guide so maybe it was just a group of people. I couldn't decide if they were teenagers or different ages. We came upon a square ruins of stones and we explored it. Nothing special about this place so we head to where there is a big opening in the wall, and through the opening we saw the sand stir about far off just a few yards. I saw that the sands formed a mighty serpent head within its winds and finally, the sands melted together to a mighty beast upon a type of bike. It came for us and chased us through the ruins but I ran out into the desert to escape. I turned to watch but suddenly before me grew a trembling, a large tower erected itself out of the ground and reached very high. That was the ending of my dream and I've had multiple encounters with it, maybe three times, and I believe power occure in 3's.

I went out on a friends hen night recently (that’s a bachelorette party for anyone outside of the UK) and after many hours of drinking, dancing and stumbling around town failing to find a taxi, the evening finally ended with a group of us squatting down in an alleyway for a much needed pee! I mentioned this in passing to some colleagues at work when we were discussing our respective weekends, expecting them to find it a humorous incident, but instead they reacted with disgust at my ‘unladylike conduct.’ The colleagues in question were male. Since their attitude is pretty clear, I would like to know what other women think of what I did and, if they have ever done the same thing after a night on the tiles, how people responded to their behaviour?
