Jesus came as God in the flesh and left the comforter (the Holy Spirit). The Holy Spirit convicts us of our need for Jesus and of our sins. He guides us when we ask for discernment when we need to make a decision or reading the Bible.
Jesus is God and when He was here he came as GOD in the flesh (fully God and fully man). He said that he would not return and physical touch his feet on the earth until he returned for the battle of Armagedon at the end of the tribulation. He will call all believers home before the tribulation.
Before Jesus came God appeared but only to certain believers.

Because he does not exist. In the past and throughout the bible he apparently talked to many more people. People had visions, performed miracles, and God supposedly made his existence much more believable. Yet not anymore, why is that? There are more religions now and atheism, so it would seem that now is a perfect time for him to make himself known, but he does not. So we come to the other explanation that he does not exist.

I liken God to a human father, the way Christianity does. When we were children our fathers used to interact with us more and were more vigilant over our lives. They would in essence micromanage everything. As we matured and learned from our own mistakes, our fathers would increasingly distance themselves, thus allowing us to flourish on our own. Part of growing up is the increasing separation of the child from parental authority. After all, you can never learn to ride a bike on your own, or walk, if your dad is constantly holding you. He has to let go eventually.
Likewise, God interacted with us to such a great extent during Old Testament times because humanity was in its infancy then, and therefore required a greater deal of intervention. As we have matured both intellectually, and morally, he started to allow us have more autonomy.
I don’t think we should look at the increasing paucity of God’s ostensible presence in our lives as something to lament. Quite the contrary. I think it is sign that he sees us moving in the right direction, though we stumble on occasion. Have faith though. He sometimes does visit just to make sure that everything is going okay, just not in the apparent way you would expect.

If yuo are referring to prophets and angels, it does happen, you just have to look outside your little suburban box a little.
All around the world, adn even in north america, there are many accounts of angels visiting and telling poeple something. Many Christians claim an angel told them to leave before the tsunami came, for example.
As for proophets, they are everywhere! Some well known prophets are patricia King, Cindy Jacobs, as well as countless others. Just look around, God is still moving!

Those are all fables and myths. The same beliefs that supported the myth of Santa Claus when you were a child. The most intelligent view that you can have is that there is NO GOD. We are an evolutionary marvel and when we die, that's all folks. No Heaven, no Hell, no angels. It is easier to live with that then to live in fear of things that do not exist.

God never came to Earth, but Jesus did. In case you didn't know, Jesus died...so unless God decides to manifest himself as a human once again(which with all the sins people have nowadays, it sure wouldn't hurt), then God ain't gonna come back down here until the day of reckoning, the apocolypse.

He still does,
He visits us in the form of the Holy Spirit. When you have a personal and a close relationship with God, you feel His presence with you and He "talks" to you. You begin to know when you are doing something wrong and when you are doing something right. He says, "Seek and you shall find." So if you want God to visit you "Seek Him and you shall find."

I don't know if this is a loaded question or what, but He is here everyday. All you have to do is look around you. Have you ever started to do something, and a still, small voice tells you not to? That is God, the Spirit doing that.

WHat makes you think GOD does not visit you and me?
How will you recognise GOD if GOD is on the earth?
How about if GOD was coming here as a species, just to check what is going on?
In hinduism, GOD comes as reincarnations of our species and so if GOD was within us, just checking out, how would we know?
Why do we limit GOD's thinking to our level and think GOD is just like us, having no more than what we have. A limited mind.
Dont forget, we hindus, do not believe in GOD as one. We know GOD is more than one.
