I live in and belong to a health club in a very multi-cultural, high lower class neighborhood. I see lack of etiquette and rules broken without any apparent concern. The management is all minority and does not appear concerned. The manager is not a US citizen. Complaints of rule violation often get no response at all from management, and even when they do respond, the effect is minimal. I find myself wondering if the only way to live in polite society in this city is to make more money than I could imagine and paying to move to a "better neighborhood" Is that what it has come to in America?

ok people, I talked to the boy I liked and I told him I really liked him. Only problem is that he said "I did like you alot before we became really good friends now I just think it would be weird if we hooked up." Yeah ok fair enough, so I told myself "yeah w/e give up." Hello,
this is a "two part question" if you will, about one of my friends
first of all, she will from time to time 'zone out' as i call it. a time in which she used to just stare into blank space, and i would hvae to touch her or say her name to 'bring her o ut of it' and now its gotten to the point where she clenches her hands, her eyes dart back and forth, she breaths heavily, and i have to yell her name or shake her to bring her out of it... im really worried, what could this be?
also, she will occasionally have sharp pains in her side and lungs when she tries to inhale, so bad that she occasionally gasps out or yells because it hurts so much
i know she should see a doctor, but she is extremely stubborn, so i f igured i would ask all of you before i brought it up further
only eduacted answers please, this is a serious problem and i need serious answers..

My father was from North Dakota, even though I never met him i have always been proud to be part American. I was born in the UK, but i have lived all over the world, and wherever i went, the locals seemed to love Americans and America. I just wanted to shout that what is written in some newspapers of UK, Is not a fair representation of the majority. Politicians tend to pander to the noisy minorities, the ones that would kiss a terrorist, even after he has killed their babies, the ones that parade together, protesting against anyone who tries to solve world problems. We would like to ship them all to some extreemists country, let them reason with brainwashed bigots, they would all loose their heads and hands then. I think the USA should withdraw all millitary forces from every terrorist country and let the rest of the world come up with a solution. It would not be long before the free world started begging the USA to help them. God bless America and thank God for Americans. Tony.

My friend's 6 year old son has terminal cancer. He has been bravely fighting this disease for two years and his mother has been unable to work due to her son's treatment schedule. She also has a two year old daughter that she must shuffle back and forth to caretakers while she is in the hospital (an hour away from home) with her sick boy. Six months ago, her car was repossesed for non-payment because she couldn't afford it. She receives only enough assistance from the government to pay for rent and some bills. A local cancer charity has allowed her the use of a car to get back and forth to treatments, but that won't last forever. We just got news that her son has two to six months to live and I'm sure she won't be able to go back to work right away. Any suggestions?
