I guess both have got the same influence on a family. Therefore, three cheers for both Mom and wife.

The man should always discuss with the wife about their personal family issues. His or her mother should stay out of it. If you are talking about his mom and father's issues then he has more influence than his wife. Unless it involves his and her family such as his mom needs to live with them, then the wife really has influence because she may be the caregiver. She has a choice if she wants to take care of another person or not and shouldn't feel guilt or be treated unfairly if she chooses to not allow his mom into their home.The wife must know her capabilities and use her strength on her husband and kids and job if she works. Moms lose their influence when their child is married. And the man should stand beside his wife and not allow his mom to interfere! A line must be drawn and the rule kept by mother and son. The same goes for the wife and her parents.

Mom has the first 20 years to make her influence - after that it's all wife. Unless he's a momma's boy then he has no business getting married

Mom, because she was the one you grew up with. But your wife can influence you too when she entered your life. But still Mom has more influence unless you did not grow with your mom.

Both.You're first a wife then a mom.A wife has to take care of the house and cook the food most of the time.And a mom has to take care of her chid/chidren,husband,and house.A mom has to do more things but they are kinda both the same.

always the mom, nothing breaks the heart of a son more than having his mom mad at him unless he pisses his sisters off which is just as bad.
