Lol well when your a kid, you can be a bit crazy, talking to your old imaginary buddy over there, and no one really thinks there's anything wrong with you because it's almost a natural thing to do when your a kid, having an imaginary friend.
However, when you get to be older, it gets awkward to have an imaginary friend, because people might think your a bit, how do I put this: loopy. It's talking to yourself basically. And as you get older, your imagination runs a bit short, and your now thinking more along the lines of real life instead a the fantasyland you had when you were a kid.

Adults can have imaginary friends, but they must be VERY careful about who they introduce them to.
In the 1950 movie, Harvey, Jimmy Stewart had an imaginary friend, a very tall rabbit. The movis is a hoot, and so is having an imaginary friend...as long as it isn't your only friend.

Did you ever see the movie "Lay Dead Fred?
I would think that if you carried your imaginary friends with you from your childhood, they would also grow up with the years and it would not be very nice to have a grown man sleeping with you on or under your bed... unless your imaginary friend was a freckled red-head girlie that, with the years, turned out to be a hot red-head woman... Good question... I've never thought about it...

Its kinda weird when your a adult and know that there rele not real but think up a imaginary friend the way you rele want it to be and they could rele make you feel better like in the middle of a test or meeting talk to it in your head and it will help you calm down.. like a stress reliever... its all up to you though if you want to tell people bout him/her.

I have an imaginary girlfriend, and we have sexy parties with her. My real girlfriend does get jelous sometimes tho. So, yeah, think it's not accepted cause it's hard for anyone else to communicate with your imaginary buddy.. Yup... That's why. Just keep your imaginary friends to yourself.

ya know..... i really never think about that. probably because as an adult ppl expect you be a mature role model, but as a kid- it's like just have fun
but if adults REALLY want an imaginary friend, why not? just do what you want

Good question...
Some individuals think of God as an imaginary friend... however they would be mistaken...
