ok people, I talked to the boy I liked and I told him I really liked him. Only problem is that he said "I did like you alot before we became really good friends now I just think it would be weird if we hooked up." Yeah ok fair enough, so I told myself "yeah w/e give up." Well lets just say its alot harder then I thought and I really wanna try to convince him to like me again but..I dont know how..a lil help maybe?

Kanga is right. He may have gotten a little spooked since he thought you were a friend and now you want to bring it to the next level. If he's really good looking he may have had a lot of other girls doing this to him. You can't convince him, he has to make the choice for himself.
Just keep yourself busy, live your life like it doesn't make a difference (darn hard, but it can be done) If you have a chance to just chat with him, you may sorta-off-the-top-of-your-head say something like, "Hey, I know where you're coming from, and as a friend I just want you to be happy. Take care" Just come off like it doesn't mean a thing. (I know that will be hard) Don't let him see you sweat it. Then just go do something else.
He may change his mind and want you for a friend again, at least you will be close to him and be able to chat now and again.

He was up front with you. Best thing you can do is fill your life with other things, get some hobbies. Worst case is you have some new things you can enjoy that will keep your mind off him, best case is he'll see how well you're doing without him and it will respark his interest in you.
